I chose Planet Honda because the dealership served me well many years ago. I met Art on the lot and gave him an idea of what I was looking for. In this day and age of employees who are more than happy to inform you that “That’s not my job”, or “I don’t know” attitude, I am so pleased to have had the pleasure of discovering that Planet Honda Service to inform you that “That’s not my job”, or “I don’t know” attitude, I am so pleased to have had the pleasure of discovering that Planet Honda Service Department (Service Advisor Mike Goworek) and Parts Department (Parts Manager Kelvin Alfred) has never lost site of the value of Customer Service. Not just in terms of doing excellent work on vehicle repairs, courteously assisting you with purchasing parts along with detail vital instructions voluntarily, and all other aspects of motor vehicle maintenance and upkeep. They do it with such a great attitude and kindness, that you feel like you are being treated like family. After experiencing an emergency brake dilemma with my 2008 EXL V6 Honda Accord on 7/18/2011, my car was sent to the nearest Honda Service Department which was V.I.P Honda located in North Plainfield, NJ. Leaving my vehicle to be properly and thoroughly inspected by who would be experienced and certified service technicians only lead into, no follow up, any returned calls, and uncertainty on how to properly diagnose the initial problem. After being told that I wouldn’t receive my vehicle back until 7/21/11 and comprehending this would take a total of 4 days to “HOPEFULLY” resolve, I didn’t trust nor did I feel confident that my vehicle would be repaired properly. Inconvenienced, on 7/20/11 (day 3 at V.I.P Honda unresolved), I took the initiative and as instructed by Mike Goworek, had my vehicle towed to Planet Honda which I have been a valued customer since 2004. I was told that everything will be just fine. After the delivery of my car mid- morning, early afternoon on 7/20/11, within a couple hours (no more than 3 hours later), I received a call from Mike and was given a valid diagnoses. Along with the diagnoses, I was descriptively informed of what was needed to remedy the brake problem, and then he explained the ENTIRE process for how the repairs will be performed (information provided by the service technician). Mike remained on the phone with me until ALL of my questions were answered and until I completely felt confident and comfortable with his advice. So in saying, I specifically want to humbly thank and recognize Service Advisor Mike Goworek (who has assisted and advised me for more than 7 years) for unquestionably coming to my rescue (AGAIN) through such an emergency situation. I truly believe he deserves recognition for his thoughtfulness, attentive care, diligence, exceptional job knowledge which has been impeccable in the effectiveness to problem solving, consistently following up, and most importantly, personal consideration in helping me keep my Honda vehicles in tip top condition over the years. He is very professional, always assertive in meeting my current needs, and yet so neighborly and accommodating that I know that I will never need to look for another service department again as long as I drive a Honda. Honorably recognizing and graciously thanking Mike respectively has certainly been long overdue on my part. I took the liberty of submitting a comment in addition to leaving my number on the Planet Honda website inquiring to whom I could speak with regarding positive feedback. In just a little over an hour later, a really nice woman returned my call and was able to forward me to Service Manager Jim Richter. I spoke to him regarding Mike’s phenomenal service and was told he would let him know. I simply felt that my verbal comments and feedback was simply not enough, so that is the reason for writing this letter. I’ve discovered a dealership where honesty, service, pride in workmanship, customer satisfaction and appreciation are still the Hallmark of your Business. I have recommended your business to several friends who were looking to purchase new vehicles and to also discover having service performed on your vehicle and what the experience can and should be.
