I took my Tundra in for its scheduled maintenance and they forgot to put my spray shield/skit plate back on my truck. It's a 2 ft. x 3 ft. piece of metal that weighs over 20 lbs. It's kind of hard to mis they forgot to put my spray shield/skit plate back on my truck. It's a 2 ft. x 3 ft. piece of metal that weighs over 20 lbs. It's kind of hard to miss. Unfortunately, I didn't notice for a few weeks since I made the mistake of trusting them. I called back to see if it was lying around and they couldn't find it. No offer to replace it because it could've been stolen (Yeah, I'm sure there was a rash of spray shield/skid plate thefts that has been plagueing Pinehurst). Anyway, I will now be getting my truck serviced by a new mechanic since these guys can't remember how to re-attach essential parts. I shudder to think what else they forgot to do. More
I purchased from Pinehurst Toyota solely because Ryan Meadows was straight up with information, he was patient and not pushy. He is the kind of guy you want to buy a car from. When I got there he took my information so I could test drive. I liked it and we started talking price. I told him not to run my credit until I could get soft numbers to make sure we were in the ballpark for my trade and int rate. I understand they need credit for rate but I told them to give me a ballpark for good bad and worst credit. He gave me a ballpark and that was super high. I left. A few days later I see a hard pull for credit on my account. Called back and he stated that even though I told him not to run credit they did anyways. These guys could have the best priced car around and I wouldn’t buy from them out of morals. More

My Tundra is 10 years old and has been serviced by Toyota it’s whole life. Long story short 2 months ago Cathleen Sullivan tried buying my truck and texted me “Whoa it must be your lucky day $18,000 cash 💰” I waited till today being new to the area and not knowing if I needed a full size truck. I put on 800 miles on the truck in the past 2 months and just don’t need it. Went in to sell it and they offer me $15,300. I showed the manager my text from Cathleen but he said he didn’t authorize it so no. I asked why so much lower in the offer, he told me “if you buy a vehicle from us we will give you more for your truck.” No integrity or morals at this dealership. You should try a different place, any place just not Toyota of Pinehurst. More
My first Pinehurst Toyota purchase! Coming from a girl who worked in a Subaru dealership for years. So I can’t say enough about salesman, Gil Aponte. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and was eager to who worked in a Subaru dealership for years. So I can’t say enough about salesman, Gil Aponte. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and was eager to make a sale, yet not pushy, and answered all my questions. Btw, I had previously stopped at this dealership to buy, but a different salesman was quite green and over the top. Anyway, I sat down to haggle the price with the lack of personality general manager (who amid Covid came out to shake my hand wearing his mask over his mouth only for the next three hours) I get it, he’s busy, everyone wants a deal, but come on fella. So I already know what’s negotiable and what isn’t and this guy wasn’t budging, playing the game in his comfortable rude and cold way. After an hour or so, I ended up getting it were I needed it to be. Gil went out to my new Rav4 and helped me set up the navigation, etc. I would ask for Gil if you’re in the market. Side note, At least Honda didn’t make me feel like a number (rude general manager). More
I purchased a vehicle for my wife here in 2018 and was extremely pleased with the service and deal. I decided to go back to replace a Tundra that I had purchased brand new in 2008. The vehicle had been extremely pleased with the service and deal. I decided to go back to replace a Tundra that I had purchased brand new in 2008. The vehicle had been amazing and I replaced it only because of high mileage. I found the vehicle online and spoke with a member of the online sales team (Patti). Patti asked me to call the following day when I had agreed to swing by to see the vehicle, which I did. On arrival, I asked for her and was told she was in a different vehicle and (Brandon) was ready to help me out. Long story short, I purchased the vehicle despite my gut instinct telling me to leave. My experience yesterday was night and day from the last. I was lied to on several occasions. The best I can tell you is to take notes of everything they tell you and read every bit of the fine print. This place has turned in to the used car dealer depicted in corny movies, bunch of shady guys. To think that I as a retired veteran allowed myself to be conned on September 11th makes me sick to my stomach. I will never go back to this rat whole and would never again recommend anyone take their business there. Wish I could have articulated the experience in more detail but I am far to heated to gather my thoughts in an organized manner. More
I want to first state that this review is from the perspective of someone buying a used (“AS IS”) vehicle. No warranty when I bought the vehicle. I saw a ‘07 Jeep Grand Cherokee on cars.com and sen perspective of someone buying a used (“AS IS”) vehicle. No warranty when I bought the vehicle. I saw a ‘07 Jeep Grand Cherokee on cars.com and sent an email showing interest in it. Short while later I received a call from the dealership wanting to make an appointment for me to see it (COVID). I said I could come the next day, I was 2 hours away. I asked if it was mechanically sound, she said all vehicles must pass a NC inspection. The next day I go there and let someone know I was there for an appointment. A salesman came up and proceeded to ask me what I was looking for. I let him know and we started to walk outside. Lucky for me, we were stopped by who I spoke to on the phone. She pointed us in the right direction (to the back lot). We walked back there, he didn't speak to me the whole time. Once back there he opened the Jeep up and told me he had to go find the key. I thought it was odd, but whatever. The jeep had not been detailed, but again whatever. 10 minutes go by and I see the salesman drive by in a golf cart, but he doesn’t stop. 5 more minutes go by and I see someone walking towards me. He is another Salesman, named Paul. Paul informs me he isn't sure if the Jeep is for sale or not, that when they inspect the vehicles and it's too costly to repair they wholesale them. I was a little upset since I drove so far and spoke to someone about this Jeep beforehand. Well we took it for a test drive down the interstate. Once back, Paul said it was good to sell. I took that as it had passed the NC inspection and was good to sell, boy was I wrong. After signing the contract and waiting 1.5 hours I paid for it. Once i had paid for it i was then informed i couldn’t drive it home, that it needed some work in order to pass inspection. I was pissed. After a little back and forth we left to go home and they said they would deliver it to me and Paul would call me first thing Monday morning. Let's skip a little. Communication Monday & Tuesday was horrible. I felt like something was wrong. Tuesday it was delivered to me at 1:30. I drove it 8 minutes to work. At 5 I left work and went to pick up my wife and son to go for a drive in the new Jeep. We drove around to dinner and when we were sitting at a light it started acting up. Check engine light came on. Driving it now felt very jerky. The next day I took it to a mechanic. He was shocked that it ever passed inspection. I had him write what he found as the issue. Would not even give me a quote because of how bad it was. So starts the fight to get my money back. Paul refused to talk about it to me, he just kept saying I bought an “AS IS” car. Spoke to his manager, he gave me a little run around and said they would cut me a “deal” to repair it. I asked if i could speak to his boss, he gave me his email (which was incorrect, i finally got it through talking to someone online) Finally was able to speak to the General Manager, i emailed him and gave him a quick rundown of events and such. He got back up with me and agreed to give me my money back. He also stated I was informed it was a wholesale, but i was a “pretty good” mechanic and could handle it. Both are lies. All in all it was the worst experience in buying a car in my life. Less than a week later the Jeep is back on their website for sale. If they are talking, they are lying. More
On my recent visit to Pinehurst Toyota for an oil change the service rep tried to tell me that my tires were worn to an 8 out of 12. These tires only had 3000 miles on them. He quickly changed his mind when the service rep tried to tell me that my tires were worn to an 8 out of 12. These tires only had 3000 miles on them. He quickly changed his mind when I informed him of this. He deflected the responsibility onto the tech that worked on the car. This was very insulting to me especially to me as a woman. So were they trying to up charge me for something they thought I had no details about. I told Daniel he insulted me with this information and he wouldn’t make eye contact with me for the rest of the service check out. Not cool. Be careful when taking your car for service. I will not return to this dealership for service. More
