Don't Believe the Price Saw a vehicle online for sale for a certain price. Went to dealership to attempt to purchase it. Vehicle was there and sticker was as advertised, how Saw a vehicle online for sale for a certain price. Went to dealership to attempt to purchase it. Vehicle was there and sticker was as advertised, however the vehicle had an additional 1,000 miles on it. The salesperson, who was polite, indicated that the actual cost of the vehicle was $2,000 higher due to among other things "Prep Fees". I thought it was a joke, but alas the joke was on me. Needless to say there were no further discussions. I always check Dealer Rater prior to choosing a particular dealership and Pine Belt has great reviews, but when the interaction starts with a deceptive practice there is no reason to continue. Hope your experience is better than mine. More

He used the USAA Car Buying Service to identify a Chevrolet Impala that he wanted to buy, and made an appointment with Pine Belt to see the car. When we arrived in Lakewood after an hour's drive this morning, the car had already been sold to a buyer who was signing papers at the table behind us. I understand that a car dealer's job is to sell car to whomever walks through the door, but I thought that Pine Belt showed a surprisingly cavalier attitude toward individuals who are serving in the U.S. armed forces. We've asked USAA to remove Pine Belt from the buying service, and we certainly won't ever be going back there. More
