DECEPTIVE SALES PRACTICES I recently received a letter from Mr. Sam Elters, regarding a Hyundai I bought in 2009. The letter stated they were interested in taking my car in tr I recently received a letter from Mr. Sam Elters, regarding a Hyundai I bought in 2009. The letter stated they were interested in taking my car in trade and giving me 112 percent of its current book value. The letter stated that they had a buyer for this 10 year old Hyundai. Well I have not owned that car for almost 10 years, it was a lemon when I bought it, and traded that junk within a year of its ownership. I asked Mr. Elters how he got my name and address for this car, and he stated that they pay a 3rd party company to provide these cold contact leads, with no verification of the accuracy of the information. I don't even know how they found out my current address, but that is the part of this story that is so wierd. I have been receiving notices like this for the past ten years on this car, and frankly I am sick and tired of them. Mr. Elters could not offer me any remedy for these contacts, and apparently they will continue. I guess when the car is 100 years old, they will still be sending out such letters. He just gets the information from his 3rd party source, then his dealership mails out these stupid letters, without even reading the data. Apparently they are just form letters with my information keyed in at certain areas. So, this turns me off about these types of sales practices, and I would never buy a car from such a Dealer that would use these practices to sell cars. But, you may not think that this is wrong, so I leave it up to you, the buying public, to make up their own minds. So, If you buy a car from this dealership, and do not return for a newer car, they will hound you forever. Good luck in dealing with Mr. Sam Elters. More

We didn't know him and he didn't know us, but, I had read several reviews and knew that he was the one I wanted to work with. Just by him standing at the door, I knew that he was someone who valued customer service. The reviews I read were absolutely right!! Christian was professional, knowledgeable, courteous and LISTENED to what we had to say. We were able to find the car we wanted, at a price we could afford, with NO HASSLES.... The car needed a little detailing. Christian got it done that day! We drove home in the new car later that same afternoon. He had great knowledge of the other vehicles I had looked at, and was very vocal about the strengths and weaknesses of the model I was looking at. I took way too long looking over financial options and trying to wrap my head around it all (adulting is hard), and he went above and beyond to help me understand just what each option would look like. When I arrived to pick up the car, I found him doing the last bit of spot cleaning himself, something a sales person shouldn't have to do. Candice made paper work, (the scariest part for someone learning how to adult) a breeze. She was able to help me set up a costum payment plan with a larger initial investment than the cookie cutter plans I went over with Christian. She was very good at presenting each insurance policy for what it was worth factoring in likelyhood of an accident, coverage time, and price. More

Our salesperson, Christian, could not have been more accommodating. He was the best part of the transaction. He didn't insist on coming with us on a quick test drive. He found us the car mats, owners manual and gave s us the extra key IOU we needed. He also offered us a free 1st oil change. He even told the manager we already have a deal when they wanted to give us 200 less for our trade in. He fought for us and he was tired from a busy day. He tried his best to go fast because he knew my husband wasn't feeling well. The finance girl was not pushy and there was no hard sell on an already certified car. She was also very nice considering she was at the end of what must have been a long , busy day. The only con was how long it took, still almost 3 hours. You'd think when the price is agreed on beforehand, the trade amount etc. it could have gone faster. I know it wasn't Christian or the finance girl slowing things down so I guess it was manager issues or just a very busy on a Sat. afternoon. There is one dealer in Newark open Sunday. I think they should all be. Finally, if all dealers agreed to a price breakdown by email as this one finally did, they would sell more cars, more quickly. More
