Once I decided to buy and we shook hands on it, he disappeared. I realize that there are other people to deal with and that there is a ton of paperwork that goes into purchasing a vehicle. However, I sat in the showroom for a good 3 hours until it was time to go back to the finance department. Once in the finance department, Tiffany was wonderful. She was very nice and friendly. However, once I declined the extended warranties, it was a like a light switch went off and she was a completely different person. Her entire demeanor changed and she would not stop asking me why I wasn't interested in the extended warranties. Even when I explained that the extra money is what was a factor, she kept hounding me about it. It got very awkward and it left a very bad taste in my mouth. After being at the dealership for about 6 hours, it was time to finally receive the keys and be on my way. Joe Fina came out to the car and sat in the back seat and went over a few of the features very quickly. He said that I should schedule an appointment to come back up to the dealership so he could take more time to go over everything. By the way, this was at about 6:15 in the evening and the dealership is supposed to be open until 7:00. So why we couldn't just do everything at that point didn't make any sense to me. Especially since I had just purchased a brand new car and gave them my business. I felt as if I was rushed out the door and was left to figure everything out on my own. In addition, Joe mentioned about 15 times that I would be receiving this survey. He asked over and over again that I give him a good rating because it's so important to him and the dealership. I can understand mentioning the survey, but he told me about it repeatedly, almost begging for a good rating. Also, once Monday came, I received a general email from the manager of Piazza Hyundai requesting that I 'consider' giving the dealership a good rating on this survey. Again, another request about the survey. I realize this survey is important, but when you hound a person for a good rating, it tends to have the opposite affect. Joe advised that he would call me on Monday afternoon at 1:00 to go over BlueLink. That call never came. I was later advised by the dealership that this was because he had a medical emergency and was out of the office. However, communication is the key to everything. There were numerous people there that day and knew that I had purchased the car. No one ever reached out in his absence to offer any assistance. It made me feel as though, since all the paperwork was signed, they were done with me. My husband and I wrote a review online mentioning a few of these issues. The day after that review was posted, I received 2 phone calls from the dealership. One was a woman from the service department advising the date and time of my first oil change (information that was to be given to me on Monday, but wasn't addressed until the following Saturday because of the review online). Joe Fina also called right after to tell me about his unfortunate hospitalization. He said in his message that, if i wanted to go over BlueLink, I could give him a call back. Overall, I'm very happy with the car that I purchased. However, I don't think the dealership handled the entire sale in a professional and efficient manner. Two weeks after I purchased my Sonata, my husband purchased a Tucson at a different Hyundai dealership, and I honestly was jealous of the treatment that he received. We were in and out in about 3 hours, everyone was fantastic to deal with, his sales woman went over EVERYTHING in the car, from the light switch to the navigation to BlueLink. And, to top it all off, they NEVER ONCE mentioned the survey. I think Piazza could definitely stand to make some improvements. More
