We solicited price quotes from 10 dealerships and this one, we thought, had the best price. Our salesperson, Greg Martinelli, called to confirm our specs and mentioned that the price might differ for cas one, we thought, had the best price. In the written quote that followed, he wrote that "This price is good for both cash and finance deals" and added "No surprises or hidden fees". So, we packed up our two kids and drove about an hour to the dealership. After sitting around for about a half an hour, the sales manager comes over and tells us that there has been a "misunderstanding" and that there is no way they can sell the car for the price we were quoted in writing, and that that price was only good for financing. When we told him that the email specifically stated that the price was for financing or cash, he just repeated how they couldn't sell it to us for that. So, we left. I don't like being lied to (understatement), but even more than that, I don't like the fact that my young kids learned from this experience that grown-ups sometimes lie to people's faces. Needless to say, we bought our car somewhere else. More
