Piazza Acura of Reading is a pretty small dealership in the township of Reading, PA. They share a lot with Piazza Honda of Reading and seem to be carrying a large variety in their inventory. The lot, along with their satellite locations, carries almost every model and trim available from the manufacturers. For the enthusiasts, they even had three 9th gen Civic Si’s there when I visited. As a side note, all the cars on the lot seem relatively clean both inside/outside and were well maintained to look their best and shine at any given moment. For my first visit, I had not previously contacted the dealership nor did I make an appointment. I simply walked in with an interest to check out a pre-owned 2008 Civic Si I had seen on AutoTrader. From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed and greeted by a sales representative (Jessica Knier (Diefenderfer)). I inquired about the 08 Si and I was quickly led out into the lot where the car was. The key to the car was handed to me so I can inspect the interior with greater detail. Without any doubt or hesitation, the saleslady kindly asked if I would like to test drive the car. All throughout the 15 minute test drive, Jessica was very informative about the car and the town of Reading. (Felt like a tour guide). She provided me and my family with information about the vehicle as well as the previous owner. This was a very nice touch because as I’m sure we know, a used car’s owner history is one of the most important factor in determining a car’s mechanical condition and maintenance record. Also, she allowed me to test out the clutch for slippage as well as the VTEC switchover on the Si. As I requested, I was allowed to take the vehicle on a mix of highway, city, and bumpy suburban PA roads. Going to Piazza Acura of Reading on subsequent visits and communicating with saleslady Jessica was comfortable and informative as expected. Jessica, along with the rest of the staffs, were all very friendly and accommodating. They will work around their schedules and go out of their way to serve their customers. Whatever it is that the customer requests, the staff will do all they can to make it happen. On my second visit, I had inquiries regarding the new ILX as well as the 2013 Accord. Jessica was very kind and had set up an appointment that worked out for both parties. Upon arriving, I was given the keys and allowed to inspect the cars in full detail. Understandably, the sales teams are often quite busy. However at Piazza Acura, I was able to spend up to an hour on each car to learn all the features and feel “at home” with them. As consumers, I’m sure many of us would like to take as much time as possible to examine and get comfortable with the car. Needless to say, I was very pleased with both test drive experiences. Overall, Piazza Acura of Reading is honestly one of the best dealerships I have ever visited. At no point did I feel “pushed” or “rushed” to make any type of decision I was not prepared to. They simply did their job and showcased the vehicle in a very comfortable and informative manner. All my requests were satisfied and my concerns for each vehicle were kindly addressed. I highly encourage anyone looking for an Acura/Honda to visit Piazza Acura of Reading and be sure to ask for Jessica Knier (Diefenderfer), the awesome saleslady! More

Jessica was so knowledgeable about the Acuras I was looking at. I was originally looking at a MDX but I went on the website and saw the RDX which is more the size I need. She had me drive both and explained the differences between each of them, the financing that was offered for both, the incentives on each of them. She showed me the different features between the two. Even though I picked the lesser priced RDX, she knew that I would not have been as happy with the MDX. They did not have the color car I wanted in stock with the interior I wanted so they said it would be 2 weeks, it ended up being only 5 days. Jessica came in on Friday night, even though it was her day off, I did not feel rushed - she would have answered any question I had. She explained all of the features again how to set up my phone, which we did right then. She said call her anytime with questions. I received a phone call on Monday asking if I needed additional help with any of the features or if I had any questions about the vehicle at all. What a wonderful experience. More

This began with a well timed and planned marketing campaign initiated by Acura. In Aug., I received a postcard informing of the new 2013s and inviting to test drive one. In fact, I'd receive a free $5 campaign initiated by Acura. In Aug., I received a postcard informing of the new 2013s and inviting to test drive one. In fact, I'd receive a free $59.95 valued A1 service just for doing so. Within the same week I received a letter from Jessica, discussing trading in my 2010 MDX, moving a new 2012 off the lot and lowering my payments. She followed with a call about a week later; I'm a marketing manager, and this was a well-timed plan. I did not act, until my A1 service light appeared another week later. I hope that Acura has all of my onboard information in their datamart; as a customer-based database marketer, this seemed like an even more customer centric plan. I obliged Jessica; we drove the 2013 RDX, since my wife is looking for a new car to replace her '03 Accord. Jessica provided me with the A1 service voucher and I set up my appoint for 8/25. I still wanted to test drive the TSX and the newly nominated TL as one of the best for IIHS frontal crash tests. On Thurs, Sept. 6, I dropped off the MDX for a little warranty service, cup holders and access to the 3rd row seat. No questions asked, they took it and had to overnight parts for Fri, Sept. 7. Except I had a lunch meeting and all of their loaner cars were booked. Jake took the initiative and called me Thurs evening, explaining this, offering to call at 9am Fri morning to find out if service could replace the seats and have my car ready for an hour-long lunch meeting. At 8:30am Jake called to inform me that I could borrow, and test drive, Acura sales manager Mark Kosak's TSX! They even sent a concierge car to shuttle me to the dealership. Again no questions asked. The lunch meeting was very productive. When I returned, Jake informed me that my MDX was ready but would take 30 minutes to cleanup. It was now a little after 1pm and I had a contractor coming to my home at 2pm. Jessica asked if I wanted to drive the new TL while she was with another customer, so I did, returning in time to p/u my MDX and make it home in time for the contractor. This, without a doubt was superior customer service. In the business world, more companies need to integrate their sales teams with their customer service just as Piazza Acura did; I know this for a fact and have used my customer service reps to help "sell," or retain, people who already buy the company's product. Best of all, I never once had to ask for this service; I never had to get defensive and play the victim. Jake, Jessica and Mark took the initiative and solved my problem without question, just like the warranty work. Thanks, Piazza! More
