Poor employee attitudes. I had a scheduled appointment for a Check Engine Light at 11;30 am on 7/6/2018. The employee that checked me in for service was very negative about why I had brought the vehicle in for service His coment to me was "why dont you just drive it for the weekend and see if the light goes out, if not you will be paying me $120.00 for nothing". I informed him that I had a warranty on the vehicle (2014 Jeep Patriot that I purchased there on 04/28/2018.) and I did not want to make the damage worse by driving it. The employee seemed very annoyed that I still wanted my Jeep looked at but since I already had an appointment he would do the best that he could. He even made the comment that he was going to lunch at 12;00 and he would not be back untill 1;00 so I should be ready to be there for a while. Now all of this happened when I showed up for my "scheduled" appointment about 15 minutes early. Without even having the vehicle checked yet he was telling me that I was in for "a long wait", his words. Well my Jeep was taken back for service and at about 12:10 another employee came to the waiting room and informed me that my Jeep needed 2 parts and that it was not covered by my warranty and I would have to pay $266.00 to have it repaired. I informed the employee that my Jeep was a Chrysler Certified vehicle when I purchased it and I had a 3 month, 3000 mile bumper to bumper warranty as well as a 100,000 mile Drivetrain warranty (the Jeep has only 56,000+ miles on it) and I could not understand why the service was not covered. His response was that He had no idea why but it was denied by Chrysler and there was nothing that he could do about it. I asked him to make me a copy of the estimate because I wanted to speak with the salesman that sold me the Jeep using the above mentioned warranty's as a selling tool and why I could not use them now. The salesman was off that day (Joshua Morrison) but I did speak with (John Novak) and I explained my situation to him and Mr.Novak was the only employee that presented himself in a proffesional manner and was very helpful. He made contact with the service department and the situation with my warranty not paying for the repairs was clarified and as it turned out the work was covered and I only had to pay the required $100.00 deductable as noted by the 3000 mile, 3 month warranty. But he did say that now my service tech. was going to lunch and he would be gone for about an hour. At this time it was almost 12;30 and I had not had lunch myself so I asked about maybe using the shuttle service that was offered by the dealership and go to lunch myself, I asked about the service and was informed that the shuttle driver was gone at the moment but when he returned they would send him to the waiting area for me and I could go to grab some food and kill some time. The shuttle driver never returned or was never sent to the waiting room for me so I never was able to go eat. About 1:40 my Jeep was brought up front from the service area and was complete, however the Jeep had a flat rear tire on the drivers side thatbwas not flat before. I informed the Service Tech of this and he became very defensive and mad about me pointing that out to him but he said he would take the vehicle back to his bay and check the tire. He returned about 2:08 with the tire repaired and he had what appeared to be a finish nail that he said he removed from the tire and he plugged the repair. The tires on my Jeep were brand new tires that was put on the vehicle by your dealership and had less than 3,000 miles on them and now I had one with a plug in it. Needless to say I was very upset and completly amazed at the amount of poor attitudes, poor communication skills and the complete lack of respect that was on display that day by everyone that I came in contact with with the exception of Mr. Jon Novak, and he really didnt have to help me at all but he did anyway and I greatly appreciate his efforts. So, to recap, I had an APPOITMENT at 11:30am and never left your dealership untill 2;08pm with a repaired Jeep that I had to get help from a staff memeber to insure that my warranty was properly applied and a plug in my brand new tire. It was, without a doubt, the worst experience that I have ever had at a service deaprtment anywhere. I cannot tell you the name of the service tech or the name of the individual the received my vehicle and processd the paper work. He worked at the middle desk in the receiving area and was a white man with a shaved head or very short haircut. You should be able to follow up with this review as my appointment was documented as usual. If it will help my appointment information was as follows: David McGraw 2014 Jeep Patriot engine light on for 11:30am More

Once ch The check-in process has always seemed a bit dis-organized. Customers not sure of where they need to go or what they need to do to check-in. Once checked in everything runs smoothly, but to stand there in front of the glass booths housing the service advisors without any direction as far as who to talk with seems inefficient. It would seem, having a service rep available to check you in, taking down basic info that is then handed over to a service advisor while you wait at your vehicle would be more efficient than a group of people standing in front of the glass enclosures viaing for someone, anyones attention....waiting longly for the “Ok, who’s next?” announcement from one of the advisors. The service rep would then place a numbered cone on the roof of your vehicle corresponding to the service number of the order the “rep” has handed to the “advisor” .... so the advisor can find his “next” customer. Also prevents the ultimate crowding around the service advisors glass cubes. Just a simple observation from a customer looking for more organization and efficiency. Thank you. Dean Ebersberger More
