She was sold unnecessary work when coming in for unrelated issue. Turns out, Phillips does diagnostics on all cars to find unreported issues to up sell service. If your car is not new, it would be very easy to find various out of tolerance parts that justify replacement, even though everything works fine and may last several years. And of course they used the scare tactic that "its a safety issue" to seal the deal. My sister called me, I told her to stop the work order, but it had been completed within the first 2 hours. Where do I begin, from the moment I opened the door I was greeted in a professional and non-intrusive manner. Within minutes, I had questions and that is where Eugene Wilson stepped in. Being indecisive Eugene helped me separate my needs from my wants which left me with a feeling of complete confidence that I had purchased the vehicle that best suited my needs and there was not one ounce of buyers remorse or questioning my decision. Mike Maheras greeted me with a smile and handshake, as did all of the staff,every time I came back to the dealership. He worked with me and Eugene to ensure that I was happy in every aspect, what a wonderful example of professionalism and leadership. I was offered something to drink every time I came in, not only by Eugene or Mike, but other employees as well, even though they knew I was already dealing with someone. It is obvious that customer satisfaction is a work practice that Phillips Chevrolet holds at the top of it's list, and Mike and Eugene are great examples of this. The follow up e-mails and phone calls were not pushy or phony. I felt as though they really did care about helping me make the right decision and it never came across that selling a vehicle was the most important aspect of their communications with me. Although a 5 Star rating seems unbelievable, especially to me,especially from a car dealership, there honestly was not one thing that I as a customer would want to change about my experience with Phillips Chevrolet, or the staff that I dealt with. Having done three months of research on various models, including vehicle reliability records, comfort, and overall cost of ownership, I decided to consider Chevrolet. My initial test drive of the Chevy Equinox was a positive experience. Nevertheless, I did not return for a full week, going to other dealerships to drive other makes and models, as well as reading Consumer Reviews on the Equinox. Since the 2010 was completely redone, Consumer Reports, Edmunds.com, and other sites did not have sufficient data to report on the car. Thus, the Consumer Reviews were very helpful. I returned to Phillips Chevrolet last Saturday, still 'just looking.' However, I ended up leaving with a car after test driving a 2010 Equinox LTZ! Every individual involved in the transaction was friendly, polite, and a pleasure to work with. While no one wants to spend lots of money AND hours in a dealership, considering what is required in the purchase of a vehicle, I found my experience at Phillips to be a very positive one, thanks to the excellent and efficient staff.
