Mr. Bazile, Your vehicle was brought to us for service at the end of May. We proceeded to evaluate the vehicle, which required 26 different parts to be ordered, many of which are on national backorder due to the current events going on in the world. The final parts needed were received around the 3rd week of August after the backordered parts were released from General Motors. The repair job is approximately a 2 - 3 week repair job, due to the nature of the repair needed. The vehicle was completed and ready for pickup on September 16th. Unfortunately, General Motors does not cover the cost of rental vehicles once the repair is completed. Per your conversation with the service manager Keith Free on September 16th, he explained to you that he is currently working with General Motors to see if they can give some assistance on the cost of the rental vehicle which occurred after the date the vehicle was ready for pick up. We appreciate you giving us an opportunity to assist you and we understand the inconvenience the backordered parts may have caused.
