We visited Phil Smith Kia yesterday for a routine service which only took an hour to complete. While we were waiting a sporty little car caught my eye in the showroom. My husband and I had been thinking abou which only took an hour to complete. While we were waiting a sporty little car caught my eye in the showroom. My husband and I had been thinking about replacing our older Hyundai and passing it down to our daughter. We asked to drive the 2020 Soul GT. Even though it was inside the building Rockie Dobson had the car outside and ready for a test drive in a few minutes. The car exceeded our expectations and we made an offer to purchase it. At first we wanted to sleep on it but I knew that since it was unique it might not be available for long. Rockie was able after a little negotiation to get us the vehicle for a fair price and I took it home the same day. Rockie throughly went over each feature of the vehicle including the electronics on the dash. Furthermore he downloaded my phone contacts so they would be at my fingertips along with my navigation app. Rockie took the time to go over the car bumper to bumper even though the temperature was in the mid 90s. The car was washed, sanitized, filled with gas and new floor mats. We have probably purchased about 10 vehicles over the years and this was by far the easiest to deal with. We are very satisfied with our purchase and the professional attention we were given. More

THIS PLACE IS A SCAM!!! STAY AWAY!!! My husband and I went in with cash to buy a car and we did not want to pay more than 35k. The sales rep told us we could get a 41k car for 35k if we leased it first a went in with cash to buy a car and we did not want to pay more than 35k. The sales rep told us we could get a 41k car for 35k if we leased it first as there was a manufacturer's rebate for leasing for 6500. We agreed to this with a downpayment of 13k because we knew we were going to buy the car or we would have never put down 13k!!! Now we want to buy it and we are told that the buyout price is not 35k minus all that we paid, but instead what they feel like the car is worth which is 8 thousand dollars more!!!! None of the people work there anymore so they claim they can't hold anyone accountable and they weren't there when the conversation was happening. My husband and I are both math majors and we did the math FOUR TIMES WITH THE REPRESENTATIVE to ensure the final buyout price was what we had left on the car. Now the manager Devin just said sorry you should have read your contract it's in there. I specifically asked the question "how much do we pay at the end" several times!!! We wrote it all down on our paperwork! The representative NEVER showed us the residual value number which means kia priced the car worth way more than we had left paying towards the car. I am disgusted all round and will make sure to tell everyone I know, through every social media outlet never to visit this location because their staff blatantly scammed us to get a sale! I would have just bought my car outright and left like I wanted to but instead I am having to pay a price way higher than what I owe! How unethical and no empathy from this company!! Stay away!!!!!! Also I was calling to get ahold of Devin for days now and leaving messages and today Lauren said to me in the most condescending tone..."I don't know who you are leaving messages for but he doesn't have a voice-mail", come to find out he does and he was getting my messages. When I said to her "your company is treating me very unethical" her response was "This isn't myyy company and Kia doesn't make money on this car " What garbage!! Terrible service and Lauren really need to learn how to speak to customers. More
