I'm not one to write reviews but felt compelled. I've bee driving a domestic SUV for 15+ years (give or take), in fact have been in at least 5 of the same SUVs over that time period. I spoke with Nick at Phil Smith Acura multiple times over the past year or so, never pushy, always informative, and eventually I made the decision to go into an MDX, I must say this SUV is night and day over what I have been accustomed to. The dealership experience was A+, Nick and the sales manager Phil could not have bee more accommodating! If you are even considering an Acura you'd be doing yourself and injustice by not at least entertaining having a conversation with Nick - no pressure and very informative. More

I gave him the stock number of a specific Rdx I was interested in leasing. He got my number and told me he would get back to me. Shortly after, he texted a quote and sent me one by email. I spoke to my wife, Peter and I went back and forth a bit about me turning in my current RDX. We settled on I would keep my old car and turn it in on my own. I asked him again if the same deal he had quoted me by text and email was still available. Peter assured me 3 times in writing that the deal we had negotiated was good. When I received the paperwork, it’s was over 800 more money up front to get to the same payment he quoted me. I questioned him and he said the finance manager had made a mistake. I asked to speak to a finance manager but she wasn’t available. I was told she would call me back. I got a call back about 3 hours later. I spoke to Gina, which told me that the last paperwork they had sent was ALSO a mistake. It’s wasn’t 800 more up front, it was over 1400 more up front. She gave me a story about making a mistake and apologized for not being able to give me the offer they had put in writing 3 times. At this point I am very upset, she kept saying that there couldn’t agree to anything less than 1400 more than the original quoted price. I told her that I understand mistakes are made, but we had our eye really set out on that specific car. I told her I believe they should bear at least some responsibility in making a few mistakes and having reneged on our agreement. I told her I was willing to meet somewhere in the middle. Gina told me that Phil was gone for the day, but she would address this with him in the morning, and would express my frustration i had in this matter. Saturday passed, Sunday passed, it’s now Tuesday. I am still waiting for a phone call. Thank you, Peter, Gina and Phil for the enlightenment. I know now, how bad of an establishment they have there at Phil Smith Acura. On a side note, Saturday morning I reached out to Acura of Pembroke Pines. Spoke to Dino around 10:30 am. By 1:30 pm I had my brand new 2021 Acura RDX A-spec SH-AWD sitting beautifully in my driveway with all the paperwork done. That is how you do a deal. This is my 4th Acura, and I have never been treated so badly as I was by Phil Smith Acura. More
Over the telephone, when I inquired about the 2012 Acura RL, they were very responsive and impressively accommodating. Initially, I asked the salesperson assigned to me about dents and scratches and he stated there were none on the car. Within 2 minutes of me looking at the car I saw minor body damage, left rear wheel well. After considering other options, I bought the car, although I began to understand that I was dealing with a typical dealership. On my way home from Pompano to Connecticut, while at a Whole Foods parking lot, I noticed that the satellite antenna was missing, although I hadn't heard it fall. Since Tuesday, March 23, 2021 I have been calling the dealership and leaving voicemails. As of today, March 26, 2021, no one has called me back, not the salesperson, not the used car sales manager, and not even the general manager. Car dealerships have not evolved since the 1980s when I bought my first car. Something about Phil Smith Acura tells me that I should have avoided this dealership to begin with, regardless of how much I wanted to buy the Acura RL. As of today, March 27, they haven't responded. I went in to get a lease price on a new TLX. Sales person asked parameters ( months...miles etc.) and proceeded to the F&I manager. When they gave me the monthly payment I asked what the selling price of the asked parameters ( months...miles etc.) and proceeded to the F&I manager. You better off from this dealer. I have been doing Bussiness over 20 years (only with the service dept) again the sales team in horrible and nightmare, and wanted to screw your up at any cost. The Sales Manager loves to raise his voice and put down at any cost. So, he can feels superior along with the GM. Salesman Robert Black and other are quite syncing to screw up in any way they can if you let it happen. Please go to any other dealer if you need a new or used car. The services department is different and those guys are super nice and the female cashier is rude!!! I must said that Phillip Franchina seems to be hangover and he loves to push a new car and He loves to scream like a uneducated individual. Acting wild More
