Who knew buying a car could be fun! Richard Ryan provided me with an amazing car buying experience, when I was less than thrilled about having to replace my trusty but worn out Honda Odyssey. I thought the me with an amazing car buying experience, when I was less than thrilled about having to replace my trusty but worn out Honda Odyssey. I thought the car buying process would be difficult and combative. Instead, Richard actually helped me identify my needs, recommended products that suited my needs and my budget, and negotiated a deal with honesty. He is knowledgeable and trustworthy, characteristics seldom identified with the car business. He really took the time to help me compare several makes and models. I felt like I wasn't just a customer, I believe Richard Ryan treated me with the same respect and integrity he would treat his own family members. I had an unexpectedly pleasant experience and won't hesitate to recommend Mr. Richard Ryan at Phil Long Hyundai. He is an exceptional listener and Hyundai is an exceptional product. More

The sales personnel lied to my husband and myself on numerous occasions. Markus Cardo was suppose to get a car in for a test drive and failed miserably. He never got it and lied about the dealership a numerous occasions. Markus Cardo was suppose to get a car in for a test drive and failed miserably. He never got it and lied about the dealership at Chapel Hills not having the turbo Veloster. Also, being a member of ENTFCU we were suppose to receive 2 free movie tickets and did not. Yet again, another LIE. More
First, I am a real buyer. I recently bought a 2013 Hyundai Elantra GLS. I was looking for a cheap new car. My wife has the nice family car ( I have the car payment to prove it), but i needed somethi Hyundai Elantra GLS. I was looking for a cheap new car. My wife has the nice family car ( I have the car payment to prove it), but i needed something dependable and extremely fuel efficient (and gentler on my wallet). My sales woman, Marie Roberge, was truly top notch. I wanted to minimize my monthly car payment. I realized that the price range i was wanting was the Accent range (PS-I did test drive the Nissan Versa, but was less than impressed with my sales dude's ability to find me something in my price range). Unfortunately for me, all the modest Accents were spoken for. (NOTE: If Hyundai reads this, you guys need to start focusing on Middle American purchases versus everything being a Limited Deluxe with all the cheese). Rather than being disheartened, Marie worked her tail off to find me an ELANTRA! I am 6 foot 2, and will be doing lots of driving, enough said. I felt like i could still expand my chest in the Elantra, although the Accent is still an awesome feeling car. The price per month ended up being identical, thanks to the Elantra's superior safety (lower insurance than the Accent). Also, the MPGs for highway are better than on the Accent. Not only did I feel like Marie (and the GM, John) gave me the time of day, and the decency to take time to make a decision, she MAPPED out all my options. She took the time, a rarity in these days, to show me the bottom line numbers for the most affordable Accents and Elantras in the area. She showed me the math on buying versus leasing, showing me how a down payment would impact my monthly payment...on paper, side-by-side. If there was a standard out there for being a sales team, John (GM) and Marie (sales) would be the platinum standard. More
After reading the review about Marie Hardaman, frankly I find it a little hard to believe. This was our second buying experience with Marie in the last 4 years and on both occasions, we found her to be not find it a little hard to believe. This was our second buying experience with Marie in the last 4 years and on both occasions, we found her to be nothing but helpful, hard working, and professional. This past Saturday, we bought our new Santa Fe and were extremely satisfied with the entire sales process. In my opinion, Marie is the hardest working car salesperson in the city and we will highly recommend her to all of our friends and co-workers. Thanks again Marie! More
I first started out at Motor City hyundai and was working with Marie what a terrible experience I had. I was in contact with the sales rep for over 3 weeks looking for a specific vehicle. Come to find out af with Marie what a terrible experience I had. I was in contact with the sales rep for over 3 weeks looking for a specific vehicle. Come to find out after 4 hour and yes I said 4 hours of waiting for my vehicle to be delivered, they NEVER HAD IT!!!! They lied to me the ENTIRE time and tried to con my husband and I into buying something we were never interested. Believe me, they will promise you the world but NEVER DELIVER!!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!!!!!. They told me it was coming from the other dealership in Chapel Hill and never after excuse after excuse did it ever showed up. So..... we wanted to find out exactly what was going on with all the empty promises of my car will be here in 20 minutes here and 30 minutes here and so on and so on so we went to Chapel Hill and there it was the car I had been waiting for for over 4 hours. Needless to say I was a little on holy ***** irate side. When i got to Chapel Hill Hyundai I was told that the car I had been waiting for was never supposed to be delivered to Motor City!!!!!! Chapel Hill treated us with so much respect and made my whole buying experience so non stressful! My sales Rep Betty Chen was the sweetest and most knowledgeable rep I have ever met!! The managers; Richi Carni and Chris who fought to get us the best deal not just because it's their job but because we had such a BAD experience with the other dealership at Hyundai Motor City and customer satisfaction is most important to them! Everyone from the managers to the sales rep were all awesome and worked out an awesome deal for us!! In case you are looking for a new car I completely recommend going to Chapel Hill Hyundai!! They are the BEST in this area!!! If you go there, ask fro Betty Chen!!!! More

Okay, the dealership is nice and they are willing to work with you somewhat. However, they charge a delivery and handling fee. Do your research on this fee. It is NOT mandatory fee. Research this. There's a with you somewhat. However, they charge a delivery and handling fee. Do your research on this fee. It is NOT mandatory fee. Research this. There's a letter online from the attorney general from colorado stating "This charge represents costs and additional profit to the seller dealer for item such as inspecting, cleaning and adjusting new and used vehicles and preparing documents related to the sale." Read: Additional profit. Seriously, go do some research on the subject and you will find it's not a mandatory fee. I'm still trying to buy with them, BUT only IF they will waive this fee. The salesperson I talked to was very nice and helpful, but this fee (it's around $700) should be an absolute deal breaker for ANYONE trying to buy a new car. My review will change if I can get them to waive that fee, but still, buyer beware. Will be calling other hyundai dealers in the general area to see what they can offer. UPDATE: So after calling every dealer in the region, every single dealer quoted me an out the door price lower than phil long. I ended up going to a dealer north of colorado springs and by denver (starts with an A), as they quoted me a price 1700 cheaper than phil long. SEVENTEEN HUNDRED! I ended up not getting an accent, and got a nicer model elantra. The elantra I got was STILL cheaper than the accent I was looking at with phil long. And the elantra is a much nicer car. With the premium package. Do your homework and look around before buying here. You CAN find a cheaper price. More
Bought a Sonata on January 14th. After the sale, they applied their expensive sealant treatment. Shortly after that, the Pin Stripe that was under that great sealant began to chip away. During my first applied their expensive sealant treatment. Shortly after that, the Pin Stripe that was under that great sealant began to chip away. During my first service, I identified the problem to the service department but they referred me to sales. Because I clean my own vehicle with Turtle Wax Car Wash Soap, it was not my cleaning. I even had a discussion with their Pin Stripe guy about the soap I use. By the way, it was not his work and he guarantees his work. Well, contacted Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City and they related it was not there problem. Even though it was purchased with the Pin Stripping in place and I was told I had a “bumper to bumper” policy except the normal my fault stuff of course. Bottom line here is yet another reason to stay away from Phil Long. They do not mind the money you pay for your vehicle but after that, all sales are final. More
I owned a 2006 Hyundai Sonata and went to Phil Long because my previous Hyundai had given me worry free driving for 6 years and well over 100,000 miles. I purchased my 2006 from a dealership in Arizon because my previous Hyundai had given me worry free driving for 6 years and well over 100,000 miles. I purchased my 2006 from a dealership in Arizona. Sales staff was friendly and the price looked far until I made it through Finance. They loaded my sale with over $5,000 in programs from extended warranty to Credit Protection. None of the extras were explained except to give my wife and I the impression they were a package deal because we purchased the vehicle from Phil Long. After getting home and really reviewing and seeing the additional $5,000 expense I immediately called, back to cancel all those extras but the one that could be canceled was the extended warranty all others were none cancelable once you sign the paper. First and last time I will deal with any of the Phil Long Dealerships. I was also in the market for a new truck and bought one from Larry Miller Liberty Toyota and it was the type of experience I will go back repeatedly. I still own the Sonata and it is a good vehicle but if you want a purchase without wondering if you had the best service and price in Colorado Springs Liberty Toyota beats them easily. More
