As an online car buyer located 6 hours away from Colorado Springs (we live in Durango), I can't begin to articulate how positive of an experience we had with Lee. Where nearly all of the other dealerships I contacted (both locally and online) wanted to play those tiresome and ridiculous dealership games, Lee and I formalized both a trade in and a new car purchase in a matter of a few very simple emails. Furthermore, Phil Long Hyundai of Motor City was more than competitive in terms of price and Lee provided service (prior to the sale, during the sale and after the sale) that went well above and beyond our expectations. Lee was the antithesis of your typical car salesman and it's so very appreciated! More

Lee went all the way up to the chapel hills store and drove back a used vehicle I had seen online, when previously, a sales person at a different dealership had told me it was not available. This has been the only time that we have bought a car that I wasn't stressed out or nauseous at the end of the transaction! More

We are waiting for a reply from the service department as the said they had to contact Hyundai about this matter. Mark has been great in helping us with any questions . Incredible Sales Staff, Rude Financing Department Rich and Tim provided an excellent experience during the sales part of the process. They were both welcoming, professional and knowledgeable. Mike Burgess in the financing department was one of the most unprofessional and rude individuals I have encountered in a business environment. Perhaps it’s because we are young, but he was incredibly condescending when providing an overview of the extended warranty. We responded that we were not military when asked, to which he responded, “well you are today” in order to get convince us with a lower price. The whole reason we were interested in Hyundai was the factory warranty and did not believe additional warranty was needed in our situation. Mike was shocked when we said “no” and proceeded to tell us that we “clearly didn’t understand the warranty” if we weren’t interested. He then proceeded to “pick on” our new vehicle by explaining the three year warranty wasn’t enough because GPS, radios and speakers break all the time. Same story with the things covered under the five and ten year portions of the warranty. Apparently our new car was already falling apart the minute we drove off the lot, not a great feeling when spending almost $30k on a car. After declining the coverage three times, he proceeded to stop all conversation and only speak to us to point out places to sign. To close out this wonderful experience, he had us write our check for the wrong amount. Given our terrible experience with him to that point, I didn’t feel comfortable asking him why since he was the expert. I did ask our sales person on the way out the door why the numbers were different. He went back to check with Mike who then made us write a separate check for the $300 difference. It should be noted that the poor salesperson had to come back and apologize on behalf of Mike, who was nowhere to be found. Again, incredibly unprofessional. The funniest part was after wrapping up with the sales team, my wife and I made a comment to each other about how great the experience had been as we brought some preconceived notions to the table. Needless to say, Mike ruined any chance that we would refer any business to Phil Long and I will likely pass on free oil changes because I lost so much trust in the dealership based on how he approached our interactions. To make sure I am 100% clear, Tim and Rich were fantastic and deserve recognition for the great experience they provided. More
