Took Two Attempts Phil Long Ford at Motor City has some excellent people in sales, finance, and management. The key word here is "some". On my first experience there I Phil Long Ford at Motor City has some excellent people in sales, finance, and management. The key word here is "some". On my first experience there I met with unknowledgeable salesmen and staff who could not answer nor listen to my questions and ideas. I did get to drive a variety of cars and that was the only part of the experience that went well. However, on a second trip there I worked with entirely different team from the salesmen all the way to upper management. I experienced great service, had all of my questions answered and ideas considered. The second team was well prepared and met all of my expectations without issue. The only reason for the 4 out of 5 here is the inconsistency. If all of the employees were as professional as those I worked with on the second trip Phil Long Ford at Motor City would earn full marks without question. I hope they can manage to improve their training--perhaps have new/staff in training work in tandem with an experienced/cooperating employee in an apprenticeship role-- and customer consistency for the future. Bad customer service and repairs I had a wheel bearing replaced, the tech didn't tighten my lug nuts had them break off while driving down the highway. Had to pay out of pocket for a tow truck and rental car and have another ford dealership fix what "they fixed" and still haven't been reimbursed for the tow and had to call 4 seperate times to get the rental car taken care of. I know car repairs are never fun but seriously, this is hands down the worst experience I've ever had with a car dealership More

Trade-in, with a 1 year old I called ahead after having a bad experience with Audi. I wanted to know what Lincoln could offer me on an a trade for a particular MKC. I anticipated a quick visit bc I had called ahead and knew what I wanted. Well, forget that. Salesman must be trained in dragging it out and have a knack for letting you know how hard they're working. The entire process from arrival to leaving was 4.5 hours - ridiculous. I had my 1 year old with me and managed him while dealing with the annoying back and forth from not just one salesman, but another employee who never introduced himself and tried to insult me and bully me into numbers I didn't agree with. When I packed it up and started to leave, what do you know, they came around. Then, they send me an email asking for a review....here ya go! I should say Ted in Finance was great. More
