Found the perfect truck on the first stop. Jim Love was helping on Motor City from Chapel Hills. He greeted us in the parking lot and listened to our wish list. We found a 2011 Ranger on the lot that checked every item we desired. I offered to put a deposit on the truck and was told I could take it home for the night. The problem I brought it in for was not fixed because they could not find the leak a week earlier they told me was there. The grand finale- I show up to pick up my car and am kept waiting for 30 min. When I ask why- they can't find my keys. I thankfully had my spares but it took 4 calls to the MANAGERs and 3 days before they called me back, finally saying they found my keys. I will not go back More

No customer service I have purchased 3 new vehicles from Phil long ford motor city. The buying experience is absolutely amazing with this dealership. The service center on the other hand has been the worst experience ever the 3 times I have tried to use them. They have 0 customer service. It's so bad I would rather pay for my own oil change than use their free changes. The first oil change they left the under car protector loose and it fell off while driving. At 5000 miles they tried to upsell a cabin air filter, battery service and a engine air filter than got pissed when I said no. The manual didn't recomended replacement until xx miles. I had a flat tire and they said I had to leave the vehicle even though it was already on the spare. They said it could take up to 3 days if it was under warrenty and I could walk down the street and rent a car if needed. It is just complete xx. They are lucky I love the Ford brand because the service is almost bad enough to make me switch. More

The magic day finally comes and after they start the repairs they discover they have ordered the wrong part. Now I have to x number of days until Ford finishes building a new part. He was friendly, answered all my questions well, he was attentive, and very helpful with all my concerns. Often you go to a dealership and feel like they're simply trying to fleece you for every cent they can. This was the complete opposite of my experience at Phil Long Motor city (NOT Chapel Hills Phil Long). There were perhaps a couple of questions James didn't have a readily available answer but he always found out for me. As a consumer, price is always a concern. The folks from James on up to Mr Barton the President worked with me and we came up with what I thought was a great and fair price. They double checked to ensure I had all the available rebates and discounts. The day following the purchase I had an additional concern which James and others researched for me and helped give me peace of mind about my purchase. They are a business and have to make money at the end of the day or they don't stay in business. Some dealerships though see the customer as someone to be fleeced without regard to any future business. Not so with the folks at Phil Long Motor City. I will be highly recommending them to my friends in the future. They treated me with respect, as a friend, and someone they want to do business with in the future. Thanks James (you too Derrick!) for taking care of me and making my purchase at your dealership a great and pleasant experience! More
