My wife and I just had an exceptional buying experience with Steve Johnson at Phil Long Ford. We were interested in a 2011 Expedition which Steve had waiting for us when we arrived at the lot (we had made with Steve Johnson at Phil Long Ford. We were interested in a 2011 Expedition which Steve had waiting for us when we arrived at the lot (we had made the appointment in the morning and arrived just after noon). Although this particular Expedition had equipment on it we were not interested in, Steve and his team quickly found another Expedition that better met our needs and had it moved up from their lot in the Springs. The negotiation was easy and I believe we struck a deal that was fair for both parties. We did trade-in a vehicle and took advantage of a couple of the Ford incentives. Steve presented several financing scenarios and never pressured us to make a decision. He answered our many questions without conveying inpatients or treated us like "rookie" car buyers. Once the deal was struck, Steve worked quickly to gather our pertinent information for the financing and even brought our daughters a chocolate bar and water while they waited for Mom and Dad to conclude our business. Since it was going to take some time to get our new car ready, Steve lent us a car so we could grad some dinner. Patrick in the Finance Office was efficient with our time - explaining the extended warranty options, add-on products for our new car, and also was patient with answering our questions. Patrick never pressured us to buy the additional services or products and handled our denial without a fuss. When we got back from dinner, our new 2011 Expedition Limited was parked in front of the store nicely cleaned and ready for us to take home. This is my wife's car and she couldn't be happier because of the how we were treated at Phil Long Ford. I highly recommend Steve Johnson and the team at Phil Long Ford - I have no reservation about this experience and can honestly state that Steve has earned by business for future car purchases. More
Old school auto buying requires serious and contentious negotiating. Out with the old and in with the new no hassle method. We were able to get a price negotiated, they could not get me decent financing so I got my own through my bank. My banker called me to share that the people at Phil Long kept calling him ceaselessly aski get me decent financing so I got my own through my bank. My banker called me to share that the people at Phil Long kept calling him ceaselessly asking for their check as if they had no conception of the need to actually close on a third-party loan. I financed through FirstBank so it's not like Phil Long was at risk. The Ukranian guy in finance was worthless. He told me he would fax over the purchase agreement to my bank, never did, and failed to give me a voucher for emissions. In addition, Cynthia knew that the vehicle I was looking at had been in an auto accident and failed to disclose that until I asked for the vehicle history report. They talk a good game at Phil Long, and Cynthia is "polite" but harassed the xxxx out of my bank. Even though they give free oil changes etc, I would never go back to Phil Long after the frustrations with the finance department. As a consumer, shop around and get the service you expect and deserve - companies need to earn business. More
The people of Phil long ford in Denver Co were extra helpful with all of our vehicle wants and needs of the new car purchase that we did. We were un happy the the car we had and wanted to get into a 4x4 SUV, Tim bottoms went out of his way to find out everything that we wanted in a new car and spent the time to locate what we wanted in it as well as spend the extra time explaning all the options we had prior to going to deal with Patrick in Finance. Patrick took the time that was needed to go over everthing and get us finaced with the loan structure that we wanted and the payments that we were happy with. Over all I would refer anyone that was looking for a vehicle to go and see Tim at Phil long to get the quaility and the vehicle and the knowledge that he brings with him. Patrick adds to this knowledge by knowing the needs of the banks and also the wants of his customers. this was as easy as I have ever had to purchase a vehicle, and we have bought more than our share thru the years. My wife and I pulled into the lot just to look at the 2011 F150 Platnium Series Economic-Boost trucks because my wife evaluates them at work. After looking at the verynhigh price (beautiful truck though) we drove around to the other side of the lot looking for a Raptor (another vehicle that she evaluates) just to see one in person. While leaving the lot, Steve Johnson strolled up and asked if there was anything that we needed. I told him that I had never really considered owning a Ford, in fact, I hated Fords, but they really looked nice and I was impressed with what they were doing with them in the last ten years. He mentioned that he had a used 2004 Supercrew that was in great shape and asked if I would like to take a look at it. I'm driving that truck now! What I really appreciate about Steve's professionalism is I told him what I was looking for, and EXACTLY how much I could afford. Not once did Steve attempt to upsell me or try to pursuade me to buy a bigger better deal. He showed me what I wanted and found it dor the price that I needed to pay. Daniel Price (Finance Manager) brought a couple of offers to the table above what I wanted to pay, and after telling him that I was not flexible at all on a monthly payment basis, he went out of his way to make it happen. I also felt like I was not pushed into any deal as well (as a salesman of sorts myself, I can appreciate that) and it is easy to tell a BS'r when you ar pretty good at it yourself. Dan never treated me like a sale, he treated me like I was someone he wanted to know. I will definitely return to Phil Long Ford and will recommend them to others as well! More
