I would definitely recommend Phil Long Ford. It was the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. Salesman were very knowledgeable and friendly and did NOT try to "hard sell" me. I contacted the Phil Long dealership inquiring about a used 2006 M3 convertible that had been traded to a Toyota dealership in Trinidad and brought up to Denver. I spoke with Carlee on the phone and set used 2006 M3 convertible that had been traded to a Toyota dealership in Trinidad and brought up to Denver. I spoke with Carlee on the phone and set up an appointment the following day to see the car. I was met promptly at the time agreed and the car was ready for inspection. Unfortunately the car had been listed as a manual transmission and in fact had the SMG optional transmission (sequential manual gearbox) which I was not looking for. I was able to thoroughly test drive and inspect the car. She reviewed the car fax information with me. The car had been inspected at the dealership and was in fact mechanically flawless. In the end I chose not to buy the car, but only because of the transmission. The price was competitive and the professionalism of this dealership was exceptional. This branch of the dealership, the Signature Group, is also a Rousch certified dealership and I may have to reconsider the car I thought I was looking for! More
We worked with Phil Long of Denver for at least three months prior to making our purchase, doing our homework etc. Our sales rep, Darren Lucero was very helpful along the way. We finally were able to p months prior to making our purchase, doing our homework etc. Our sales rep, Darren Lucero was very helpful along the way. We finally were able to purchase our vehicle a week earlier than planned on February 9, 2013 as long as we left a post dated check with them available to be exchanged with a cashier's check no later than February 17, 2013. We drove back down to Denver (2 hours from our residence) on February 15 to make the check exchange with my Husband taking a day off of work to make this happen. Once we arrived at the dealership we were told that we could not make the "deal" happen as promised in our initial contract as they couldn't find a bank to finance us for the agreed upon "deal". We then agreed to have our APR raised, along with our monthly payment so we could again walk away with our purchase. It is now February 23rd and we have tried contacting the dealership for the past week and have had no luck receiving a response. All we need to know is where we need to send our payments when they are due on March 17th and what address we can give our insurance company and no one will give us a direct response. We are told it will come in the mail but then the dealership contacts us finally, demanding that we give them something with proof of our physical address even though they already have a copy of our lease on file. This was the worst experience I or my Husband has ever experienced with a dealership in our life. We plan to pay off our truck prior to the 60 month period we are obligated in our contract and will never recommend Phil Long or personally use their services ever again!! More
Rip-off artists! I called Phil Long Ford 2 days ago to Rip-off artists! I called Phil Long Ford 2 days ago to get a quote on installing some shocks I'd already bought for my vehicle. After verifying th Rip-off artists! I called Phil Long Ford 2 days ago to get a quote on installing some shocks I'd already bought for my vehicle. After verifying that they were just shocks, not struts, and not coil-wrapped or anything more involved, I was quoted $130 for the job, as it would be about an hour and a half's labor. I went in this morning to have the work done, and was asked by the service writer if I'd been quoted a price. "Yes, 130," I said. "Oh, no, we charge 170-- 85 for the fronts, and 85 for the rears," was the reply. "Well, I was quoted 130." So after an unsuccessfull attempt to find a manager to approve it, the service writers grudgingly agree to do the job for 130. I got a call later in the day to say the vehicle was ready, and the price was 130 in labor, for a total of 150-something, including a 20-dollar "disposal fee." WHAT?! Nonsense-- don't dispose of them, then, I'll take them back. The receptionist tells me their trash may already have been picked up, so she doesn't know if she can give them back. Admitting that the 20 bucks was to toss them in the dumpster. It's a bogus charge, and I won't pay it, I tell her. She calls me back later to say they still have my shocks, and will return them, but the 20 dollar charge still applies, now under the guise of "shop supplies!" That's got to be two cases worth of shop rags, none of which were probably used. So I go to get the vehicle later and ask for the manager to sort it out. The receptionist tells me that she'd been authorized since we last spoke to remove the charge, but to warn me that they won't do it again, only this one time. Not to worry, I'll never be back here. What a transparent ruse to try to gouge me out of some of the difference between the quote, and the price they'd have preferred to charge. Tires have disposal fees. Shocks do not. If you charge 170, then quote me 170. Don't make up false charges to pad the bill. Rip-off artists. More
They are great at selling you a vehicle. However this is where the great service ends. If you are one who loves terrible customer service and appreciates being treated as an inconvenience this is the deale where the great service ends. If you are one who loves terrible customer service and appreciates being treated as an inconvenience this is the dealership for you. The service department has to be one of the rudest businesses I have ever had the displeasure of working with. They cannot diagnose anything. The only thing they were ever able to fix with the truck was something I diagnosed for them. They wanted to sell me a new console shifter unit for $700 due to what they called, "pop rot", when a simple sensor that ran $50 was all that was wrong. The kicker after all this was when I went to pick up my truck they busted the top off the shift knob. Apparently they did not read the how to remove that is clearly posted on any F-150 forum. Luckily after some discussion I convinced them that having me glue the top back on was not a sufficient fix, and they reluctantly gave me a new shift knob. From my dealings they are dishonest, shady, and should not be trusted to diagnose and fix a broken big wheel let alone a complex and expensive vehicle. If you are looking for a Ford dealer look elsewhere. More
I bought a used 2008 ford edge from them, I had to make a fast decision as I was switching jobs. I went in there thinking I was getting a good deal with what they showed me, that was a load of CRAP. The valu fast decision as I was switching jobs. I went in there thinking I was getting a good deal with what they showed me, that was a load of CRAP. The value of the care was not the value they showed me, I varified this on multiple used care websites. SO I already owed more than the car was worth. I signing papers I later found out they sold me a load of crap extra features that I would never use. I didn't get a manufactured backed warranty. I had a peice fall of the back within a month, that wass not covered, the battery was bad within two months, again not covered. I went in to get the oil changed and decided to look at the F150, I told them what I wanted on payments and what truck I wanted, they could not get to the price I needed. That was understandable. The problem was the sales guy would not leave me alone, called once a week with the same numbers, WHY bother!!!. A month later I recieved a call from " A ford authorized person from the factory" giving me a great deal and said to call back before 2pm. I called at 1:45 and got voicemail of another sales guy at Phil Long, what a bunch of crap. I would never buy from this dealership, they will screw you everywhich way. I have since traded in the Edge and got an F150 from Sil Tehar ford, they were a pleasure to deal with. More

My wife and I traveled from Amarillo, TX to Denver to buy a new ford explorer, 2012 limited edition. This dealership gave us the best deal out of numerous dealerships including those in Dallas and Houston. We arrived on Friday night, picked up the vehicle, and we were all set to drive home on Saturday morning. The next morning, when we got in the car, the entire electrical system was not working. We called Maureen, and she asked if we could bring the car into the dealership. When we arrived, we explained to her that we did not feel comfortable driving this car because usually if a car starts off with problems, typically the trend continues to get worse. Maureen couldn't have been more HELPFUL:) She agreed, and without hesitation she began looking at what other vehicles we could have that were similar in to the model we bought. She had several options, but none fit the color I wanted. Maureen found an upgraded model, worth about 8,000$ more in options. This one had lane correct, upgraded stereo system, upgraded engine capacity, luxury caption chairs in the back seat, two toned leather trim, and it IS A 2013!! The dealer found this car, and gave it to us without any additional cost. THIS DEALER IS FANTASTIC, AND MAUREEN IS THE BEST SALES ASSOCIATE WE HAVE EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING WITH. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS DEALER TO ANYONE, AND IF YOU GO, ASK FOR MAUREEN! SHE IS THE BEST More
Purchased a used 2011 KIA for grandchildren. They had two VERY used Hondas. The trade-in seemed fair given the condition of the vehicles. Ray was very helpful and understanding of what I was trying to d two VERY used Hondas. The trade-in seemed fair given the condition of the vehicles. Ray was very helpful and understanding of what I was trying to do. I got a good far at a fair price. I think Ray deserves kudos for patience as well. I had just come from the adjacent KIA dealer who had reneged on a firm deal and was quite aggravated. I probably came on a bit strong when I walked in. Didn't phase Ray. When my grandkids went back the next day to sign some papers they took their 15-month child. Ray gave her a baloon. Class act! More
