I own a 2010 Fusion. The brakes were making a grinding noise when the car was cold. I noticed this shortly after I purchased the car. I noticed only when backing out of my very steep driveway. I called noise when the car was cold. I noticed this shortly after I purchased the car. I noticed only when backing out of my very steep driveway. I called the service department to have them take a look at my car to find out if something was wrong with my brakes. I called for an appointment and was booked with Simon. I brought car in and rather than walking out of there with a gigantic bill, I was advised that this was a known harmless condition for these cars (as the brake makeup was of a material that produces this sound). Upon working with Simon, I finally had found a service representative who was honest and cared. I know that I can rely on Simon to look out for me and tell me like it is. I return as a customer because unlike most any other service station or service department I have gone to, I know I will get true recommendations regarding the service and maintenance of my car from Simon. One note of advice to those of you new to the service department at Phil Long, when you call for an appointment for any service - make sure you insist on getting an appointment directly with him. Otherwise, you may be talked into going to the quick lane or someone else, as you don’t automatically get his voice mail when you call his direct line. I have experienced this several times. He cares about his customers and his objective is to take care of their vehicle and the owner's best interest. More

He consistently gives me the best assessment for my vehicle and gives appropriate service recommendations. I've been so impressed with his willingness to go out of his way that I decided to bring my Honda to him for service as well. If something is wrong with your car and it needs fixed, take it to Scott Shanen at Phil Long Service and he will give you a list of recommended service actions and tell you were you can afford to wait until the next time. They will trick you into "warranties" that cost thousands even after they tell you " we were able to get you an extended warranty without raising your payment". Well what it did was give me negativ thousands even after they tell you " we were able to get you an extended warranty without raising your payment". Well what it did was give me negative equity in my car. I bought a Dodge Ram from them and a dodge Journey. two months later we traded both to Honda and got a better deal and had to suck up the negative equity left by sheisty pricing and "warranties". Run, don't walk, from Phil Long!!! More
Aside from the fact that my brand new vehicle had a physically damaged interior upon delivery, this is more about the service department, as my buying experience was excellent. There is a widesp physically damaged interior upon delivery, this is more about the service department, as my buying experience was excellent. There is a widespread design flaw of the fuel gauges on the newer generations of Ford vehicles. I learned this from a Technician at this dealership, who informed me that incorrect gauge readings are normal and he verified it by driving another vehicle of the same year/model as mine and witnessing the same thing. However, the technician was somewhat contradictory, as he tried to get me to believe that what I exclusively verified for an entire month was automatically nullified because he saw something different over the course of a few minutes. I was consistently pushed to leave my very expensive, brand new car at their service department over the weekend, where it would sit in their parking lot for days having nothing of any value done with it because they're closed the rest of the weekend, leaving me without a car for absolutely no reason. When I expressed my disapproval of the absurdities described in the above paragraphs in an elevated manner (elevated, not yelling), the service advisor said, "Not in front of the customers..." So apparently I was not viewed as a customer after spending over $20,000 at their dealership. It appears it's business as usual at American car dealerships: deny problems exists and pretend the customers are wrong. Dishonesty and passive laziness prevail. More
I am truly saddened by the dishonesty of Phil Long Ford. I was lied to and tricked into spending thousands more than I expected to. The finance writer deliberately deceived me into purchasing a $2000 extend I was lied to and tricked into spending thousands more than I expected to. The finance writer deliberately deceived me into purchasing a $2000 extended warranty and a $600 theft etching. Both of which I said I didn't want. They print the receipt in a way that puts the numbers on top of other writing so you have no chance of deciphering it until after they trick you into signing. Phil Long Ford has a license to steel. These guys are horrible liars. The finance guy will lie to your face and add thousands of dollars in extra charges that you don't wont. They purposely print the reciept on the wrong lines of the paper so y to your face and add thousands of dollars in extra charges that you don't wont. They purposely print the reciept on the wrong lines of the paper so you cant understand it. When you call back to have them explain they give you the runaround. I spoke to three different people all claiming to be the dealership manager. They all said I signed so I'm stuck with the bill. More
Never bought a car from them, thank God. I was looking at a specific car they had listed. Call ahead to confirm they still had the car on the lot. They said "yes, it's still here, come on down". When I at a specific car they had listed. Call ahead to confirm they still had the car on the lot. They said "yes, it's still here, come on down". When I got there, story changed "no, we sold that car yesterday, so sorry, buy since you are here, come look at our other cars". Seriously?, how can I trust you after your LIED to me about the car being here? Wasted my time and all I get is a shrug of the shoulders and a smirky 'sorry'. More
