The best car buying experience in my life!!! I had the very best car buying experience with Phil Long just last Friday (2/19/16). I started the shopping experience with their "Carcierge" service I had the very best car buying experience with Phil Long just last Friday (2/19/16). I started the shopping experience with their "Carcierge" service online, and found the exact car that I wanted. I was able to use the online service just like an "Amazon" order--placed the car in "my cart", added that I wanted financing, and submitted my order. Within 45 minutes, I got a call from one of the guys working in the online department, and he asked if he or his colleague could call me back in the morning because he had just left the office (around 5:30 or 6 pm). I said sure, and the next morning, promptly at 8:30 am, I got a call from Don in the online department and he quickly started the process in motion, told me that the car was located at their Chapel Hills location, and gave me updates throughout the day. Then, when the process went to the next step, I got a call from the SALES MANAGER, Fernando, and he and I talked through all of the important next steps. I then set up an appointment to go pick up my car. Now, when I spoke to Fernando on the phone, I told him that I have severe back problems, and I was not interested in sitting around for several hours. I told him he had one hour to complete the transaction or I would have to leave. He completed his portion of the process in 40 minutes. The overall time--including financing took 1 hour and 35 minutes. INCREDIBLE!!!! And, not only were they extremely efficient, their customer service was genuine (not the stereotypical "car salesman" BS) and the best I have ever had when buying a car. Also, definitely worth mentioning, my personal car salesman was David, and he ran back and forth between buildings to get whatever was needed during the process. He also called me on Saturday, after I bought the car, and asked how I was enjoying the car and asked if I had any questions. Finally, the financing guy, Chris, was FANTASTIC! He got me the best deal financially and was able to get an extended warranty included. I hope I can adequately express how impressed and satisfied I am with Phil Long overall--and specifically all of the guys who made this car buying experience the best I've ever had. They are GREAT!!!! More

Zach M. in sales was a knowledgeable, confident, no-pressure salesperson. While working with him we could tell he was invested in us as a customer, not just the sale. He was patient with us as we took our time to look around to see what other dealerships were offering before making our purchase. In the end, we chose this dealership because they had the best deals available, consistently went out of their way to work with our busy schedules and had the most professional sales people that we encountered during this process. We also worked with the "other" Zach in accessories and he was also helpful, professional, and highly knowledgeable. He was able to get our car back to us in record time after having DVD headrests installed and we are extremely pleased with our final purchase. I would highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking to buy. More

Great team only when there's something in it for them Like many Ford owners, I have the service department on speed dial. So when I brought my 2015 Mustang in for its 6th visit, they made an offer to buy Like many Ford owners, I have the service department on speed dial. So when I brought my 2015 Mustang in for its 6th visit, they made an offer to buy it back. They treated me like I was royalty, schmoozing their way into another sale. And I'm embarrased to say I fell for it hook, line, and sinker. Five hours later, I was the owner of a new Escape with all the bells and whistles. But when I got the car home, I noticed a massive scratch on the front bumper. I immediately called the dealership and my salesman admitted he saw it before the test drive (but said or did nothing). Was he just hoping I wouldn't notice? I guess we'll never know. Then I inquired about all-weather floor mats. The sales manager said to come on in but when I got there 15 minutes later, the service department was closed and he was completely unapologetic (although a quick check online confirmed they had closed almost 2 hours BEFORE I called). In fact, the entire team seemed annoyed by my presence. My salesman half-heartedly said he would make this right...that he would even deliver the mats to my house the next day. Except he never called and a week later I still don't have mats. I can't get the paint center to actually return a call either. Am I nitpicking? You bet I am. They preyed on my emotions then gladly took $35K out of my pocket. Now that they have my money, I can't hardly get them to give me the time of day. So I cannot...no, I will not recommend this dealership. More

The wait for finance was lengthy but there was only one finance person on staff who was very efficient and patient with me. His name was Garin, I believe. The lounge was a pleasant place to pass time. The 2016 Edge Titanium is a great vehicle. More
