Wes Rice, the sales consultant, personally owns two 4-Runners and took the time to explain all the features to me. Wes was very patient and 'no-pressure' in his approach. He was also understanding when I told him I needed to sleep on the purchase decision. I was pleased with the entire team at Peterson. I will recommend others to your dealership Leslie More

Salesman Brady Fuller did a great Job helping me find what I needed. No pressure just solid information. Brady got me a good deal better than any other Toyota dealership around. Some of the other dealers would not even get back to me. I enjoyed doing business with Petersons Toyota and will buy another car from them in the future. More

Dishonest Sales Practices Here is a complaint letter I submitted to Toyota on 11/17 after my experience at Peterson Toyota in Boise. I'm happy with my car, but it's important f Here is a complaint letter I submitted to Toyota on 11/17 after my experience at Peterson Toyota in Boise. I'm happy with my car, but it's important for anyone turning in a lease to be aware of this misleading sales practice so they can avoid it happening to them. I have also alerted the dealer of this issue so I'm hopeful they will do something about it. To whom it may concern, It's important for Toyota to be aware of the dynamic that exists between Toyota Financial and Toyota dealerships when it comes to who has the authority to determine what will be owed for a car when turning in or trading in a lease. I recently turned in a Toyota Prius C, which I had been leasing for 3 years. I had been considering buying a new Tacoma for several months, and had come in to discuss the lease return process with the dealership. The Prius I was returning had some scratches, so I asked my salesperson and the Toyota Financial representative at the dealer what I would owe upon returning the vehicle. The salesperson was able to work out a deal for me where the dealer would pay my final two lease payments, and I was told several times that all I would owe on the prius was the disposition fee. I was happy with the deal, but it sounded too good to be true so I asked the salesperson repeatedly if they were certain that all I would owe for the vehicle were the final two payments and the disposition fee. He consulted with the TF representative on-site, and assured me that would be the case. Whether or not he intended to, the salesperson gave me incorrect or incomplete information and provided terms that were beyond his authority. At no point during the sale did anyone ever tell me that what I would owe for the car was outside of their control, and would actually be determined by TF, an entity with apparently little to no connection with the dealerships themselves. I was led to believe that determining what I would owe for the vehicle was within the dealers (salespersons) control. After speaking with Toyota Financial, I know this is not the first time they have experienced this issue, and other dealers have also misled customers about who makes the determination on what is owed for a lease. This leads me to believe this is a systemic issue that affects not only me, but likely many other customers. I’m requesting information on what Toyota views as its responsibility in making it clear to dealers what they can and cannot promise. If salespeople or the dealer have no ability to determine what I would owe for the damages, they should have made that clear as part of the sale. It’s clear they deliberately withheld this information so that I would more easily accept the terms of buying a new car. It’s dishonest, and Toyota should be responsible for doing something significant about it to prevent it from continuing to happen. Thank you for your attention to this matter. More

He was very processional and knowledgeable but also very relaxed and low pressure. After my last car buying experience in OK I was dreading this purchase but it was very easy dealing with Jake and Beth. I did 90% over e-mail then showed up just for the final paperwork and was out in about 2 hours. I wont be returning (except for maintenance...because my Tacoma will last forever) but I recommend them. More

Interest rate was n Do your homework at Peterson... These guys make you a deal then sit you down to sign a deal that is nothing like you agreed to. Interest rate was not even close to the agreed rate. I qualified for their 1+ financing. Toyotas best rate. Price for the vehicle went up due to hidden fees. Payment was hundreds of dollars more than agreed to. Taxes were calculated wrong by thousands of dollars. I asked why the deal changed, their response was that they had a software update error in the finance department that calculated the deal wrong. I wasted three trips to this place with three completely different results. All of which weren't even close the hand shake deal that was made. Please double check your deal and ask questions of you see something that looks odd. More
