Thank you for your follow up. My frustration was not in regards to talking with Rudy your General Sales Manager it was the fact the 3 times I requested to talk to the General Manager and always got someone else. Rudy did follow up. I couldn't believe it. Short recap I have been trying to purchase a vehicle since September 2022. I get a follow up call and within 24 hours of us talking in January they all of a sudden had a vehicle available. The sales professional they set me up with was polite and courteous. After the test drive I stated I would like to purchase the vehicle. I went to great lengths to show her what the Peterson Financing tool said my trade was worth. I even have an e mail from Peterson Toyota about my trade in value. It stated my vehicle was appraised at anywhere between $35,000 to $38,000 if what I represented was true. I waited while she took my payoff information and Peterson trade in information and Peterson again tried to pull a fast one. This time they offered me $32,000 for my vehicle. That was amazing that in less than 24 hours my vehicle depreciated anywhere from $3000 to $6000 dollars. Of course I politely let the sales person know I would not proceed with buying the vehicle and left. The salesperson did everything she could to make a deal but it was beyond her control. I want to add that no one ever walked out to my vehicle to appraise it. While it was clear I was never going to talk to the General Manager now requested 4 times without follow up I found Mr. Petersons e mail address on the web. Very easy to locate. They even have a complaint center so obviously and fairly stating all car dealers have some kind of contact if a complaint is being listed. I figured Mr. Peterson to be a very busy man so I waited 2 weeks for him to respond to my e mail describing my experience. No response! I'm not surprised. There is a phrase "let the buyer beware" and it holds true with Peterson Toyota. I rated them a 2 for price transparency but if I could do all over it would be a 1. Consumer make sure you check the Peterson Toyota website to see what they value your trade at and make sure while they have your keys that you are watching to see if someone actual looks at the vehicle you intend to trade so when they hit you with a figure $6000.00 cheaper than what you were told from there website you too can know what its like to be mislead. It shouldn't matter that my payoff was less than what car was appraised for.
