Importantly you should know that “KEY” reason for my return (separate from sales) was my experience with your service department. Service Outstanding! I regret that I cannot recall the names of 2-3 different service reps that I have had. If you check my service records you can determine who I’ve had. First and foremost they are prompt, courteous and thoughtful. We live in Hailey Idaho but I have Peterson perform all (100% of our service). Your team has always squeezed me in from “out of town” and they have been great to coordinate schedules with. Significantly (and I cannot understate this), in two circumstances I have had emergencies that the service group performed a huge big effort for me: 1. Suburban (our family mover) during a visit to Boise had a electric window fail, in the “down position” right before we planned to return to Hailey from Boise with a rain storm forecasted for the Camus Prairie (HWY 20). All this occurred just as your service department was closing on a Saturday. You tech ran back and found a mechanic both stayed. Your gang got me back to a drivable (and dry “up position”) so that we could drive home. Not sure your team understands how much that “solid” meant to me. I had only been a Corolla owner for a year. This event was not forgotten when my wife and I decided that no other dealer or locals would be working on our Toyotas. Great Job ! 2. Corolla ABS sensor failed on my daughters was returning to college. She called me in a panic between Mountain Home and Boise, I call you and your team got her in when she arrived ASAP. You ordered parts, did the install and had her back at U of I (Go Vandals !) in less than 24 hours. Great Job ! Everyone was friendly. Colin made sure I understood the " new found problem" and actually showed me the leaking fluid. I feel that I will get this repair done properly and efficiently. I have provided perhaps $75K in revenue to Peterson Auto dealers here in Boise. When I called for a routine 25K mile appointment, the earliest available was on a Wednesday. In the mean time, my wife used th dealers here in Boise. When I called for a routine 25K mile appointment, the earliest available was on a Wednesday. In the mean time, my wife used the car for its normal use and our mileage was under 26K miles. When I arrived at the dealer, I was told that the maintenance would no longer be free because I was 69 miles over the limit. Because the dealership was not willing to work with me on the $21 charge, I am very tempted to take all of my future business elsewhere (maintenance, purchase, etc) and will look to buy my cars outside of your dealership. It would have been so easy for the dealership to make this work but it is unfortunate that you would be willing to lose a loyal customer over 69 miles. Little things count and you failed a simple test. More
This was one of the best car buying experiences we've had. Darin had everything ready to go for a test drive when we showed up. We never felt pressured or obligated in any way. I really felt like the stress was taken out of the whole car buying experience. I'll definely be letting my friends know that Peterson Toyota is a great place to get a car. They still won't correct the last mistake and send me the service records for the vehicle they sold me. Childish and petty pretty much says it all. The vehicle had more damage than they said also, which was not reported as an "accident". Put the car on a hoist and look it over thoroughly before you buy from these people. They will also ask you to sign paperwork that is filled out incorrectly, which is illegal. They don't care. Jake and Peterson let me use a new 2013 Sienna Van for a week! we had a rear view mirror issue - unrelated to the sliding door repair that I mentioned - but as it was in an entirely different area was not planning on it being repaired. They fixed that at no charge! A big deal as I need that mirror every moment of every drive. The interior and exterior were cleaned and vacuumed. Great Service! way above what I came in for and way above what I expected! truly excellent service! More
