I took my 2009 Camry in for a 15,000-mile service and a Toyota Master Switch Recall inspection. The service provided was good, but I fell I was misled in how long it would take for the work. Although the service contact was polite, he informed me that my driver seat floor had two mats which was unsafe. When I purchased the car, that was how it was delivered to me so I have been driving unsafe that my driver seat floor had two mats which was unsafe. Furthermore, when I asked about replacement mats, he told me he didn't know and I would have to ask the parts dept. I felt left out in the cold as he could have easily said "I will find out for you" or "let's walk over together and ask". In my opinion, it was a missed sales opportunity. Our pre purchased service coupons have expired and we will likely service our car elsewhere based on our experiences at Peterson. More

I had high expectations for this dealership as they are one of the largest in the valley... But I was sorely disappointed. I purchased a used car from them and was told if I needed to use the 90 warranty, one of the largest in the valley... But I was sorely disappointed. I purchased a used car from them and was told if I needed to use the 90 warranty, just bring it in and they would look at it. Soooo, I made my appointment (after holding for 11 minutes and getting rerouted to the front desk 3 times) and was told I was all set for the next morning. I brought the car in on my way to work the next day only to find out from the service guy, I needed "approval" from my sales associate I purchased the car through before they would look at it. Not only did he not offer to contact the sales guy for me, but he just stood there staring at me like I should have known. He said "its just better if the customers call the sales guys rather than the service guys call because they are willing to help if it is the customer on the phone." Then he had the audacity to tell me if I couldn't get ahold of him, I could just pay the Diagnostic fee and SEE if it would be covered later. I felt trapped and like I was being forced into spending money when I was left with the impression it was covered under the warranty. After not being able to reach my salesman and requesting to speak to the manager, they waived the Diagnostic fee and took my car into the shop -only to call me to tell me that my concern with my car was a "known issue from the maker and wouldn't be covered under my warranty becuase it wasn't a safety issue." There is a COMPLETE disconnect between the different departments at this dealership and causes extremely poor customer service. I should have known this would happen when an employee of theirs told me he wouldn't even buy a car from them because they are swindlers... This was a terrible experience with Peterson's and I will never do business with them again. More
