We noticed one did not work when we got home. We called and they said to bring it back down and they would fix it. So I took a day off work to go back down there as they told me too. When I get down there they said that there was nothing they could do for us. We even bought a 5 year bumper to bumper warranty. I would be very leery of their service department as well. I was told that their service department didn't even know how to program it. It's a shame that they will lose a loyal customer over a key fob. More

Nothing big, as this is a used vehicle, but enough that I wasn't going to be able to pay sticker cost and then put in an additional $700. I returned to the dealership, talked to sales guy Cullen, and said I'm not sure where to go from here with all of the issues. Cullen, referred to Tony Pitchley. Tony, appeared to make the issues easy, let's take off $700. All was good, except they repainted a section of the vehicle two days prior, and I asked for a guarantee. Tony wouldn't guarantee the paint but gave an additional discount ($200). At this point, I was pretty happy, a good experience with a bigger dealership is paying off. Everything changed after I signed off on the pre-sales contract. Cullen brought back the final contract with an elevated deal doc fee ($500). Cullen asked Tony about the doc fee, oh, they increased on March 1, 2024. I mentioned that's odd, I just bought a vehicle from LMH on March 6, and my doc fee was $400. Cullen, sorry, we can't change it. Okay, I'm paying $100 more than expected, not ideal, but not a deal breaker. I was unable to pick up the vehicle that day because they wanted to service it - I mentioned washing it and filling it up with gasoline, Cullen, yes (they never did either). Later that evening, I had a conversation with friends, they asked, did you ask if there are two keys? No why? Peterson Lexus has a reputation for not disclosing if they have two keys. It's going to cost you $200 - $400 for a FOB if they don't. I texted Cullen, and asked about a 2nd key, nope. Cullen then referred me to Tony, because I asked why this was not disclosed before the contracts were signed. The next day Tony called me into an office, and said, we sold as is, period. I understand, but for the $900 you discounted upfront, there is an added $300 - $500 that wasn't disclosed before the contracts. I'm now paying for all the repairs, elevated doc fee, and FOB. Tony was extremely unprofessional when I asked, why this was not disclosed before the contracts were signed. His response was, get out, I'm not answering your question, get out now. Keep in mind, I'm buying my daughter's first car, looking for a positive experience, and got blindsided by an undisclosed expensive, and very unprofessional individual. I've lived in Boise for 30 years, purchased several vehicles from dealerships, and was once in the financial car business and purchased vehicles at the Idaho Auto Auction. If I could give negative stars for how Tony handled the situation, I would. I hope to give others enough information to ask the correct questions before you sign off. Tony may have been in the industry for 20 years, but his language towards me was unprofessional and should not be accepted in any customer service industry. More
I wanted to purchase a 2019 Volvo XC60 with 50,000 miles. My sales associate was fantastic. There was a ticking sound coming from the engine. While our sale associate was trying to help with our questions. My sales associate was fantastic. There was a ticking sound coming from the engine. While our sale associate was trying to help with our questions. We were rudely instructed by Anthony Lamana to take it to another mechanic to get it checked out while he was obtaining the inspection report. I apologize, but the last thing you want is to get told to go take it somewhere else while being yelled at across the sales room. Later, my wife went to get the name and number of his employer. After that, Anthony threw a pen at her and said, "Right it yourself! That was the last straw. We had to leave before this got out of hand. More

Bought a used 2021 Toyota Rav4 Hybrid through salesman Zach last Labor Day afternoon. Zach was a nice young man and my husband and I got caught up in the excitement of a newer vehicle purchase and should Zach last Labor Day afternoon. Zach was a nice young man and my husband and I got caught up in the excitement of a newer vehicle purchase and should have given it a day to think it over. I lost sleep that night thinking about how the vehicle had been in a moderate/severe accident (Carfax showed sideswiped), I paid only 3.5K less that a comparably equipped new Rav4 hybrid (with no miles instead of 29K) and would have been fine with the 9-12 month wait. In addition, the used Rav4 needed new tires and only came with one Fob. Came back with it to Peterson Lexus the next morning thinking that they would not want me to be an unhappy customer, not deposit my check and take me over to Peterson Toyota next door so I could get a new Rav4 ordered (part of the same auto group). But no.... they were fine with having an dissatisfied customer. Tony, the sales manager, just said "No we can't do that." and handed me off to the Brandon, the general manager, who in a round about way said the same. I later went online and learned that most dealerships will not take a car back but some good ones will in a reasonable amount of time to gain customer loyalty. They could have, at the very least, showed me a trace amount of empathy, reassured me with detailed info on how great the car was, and paid for the spare fob I was missing....something. I am not an unreasonable person and have worked in high end retail sales for many years so it was a bit shocking to me how poorly this situation was handled that I would never have expected this from a Lexus dealership. Because these managers were so stern & uncaring, I felt that they must have had trouble selling this car and that they needed to unload it (was there more to the car's history?) cause Rav4 Hybrids are in such demand these days. Peterson Auto Group could have had even more of my money if this had been turned into a new car purchase but instead they receive a bad review from an unhappy customer who will steer clear from this dealership in the future and let friends and family know to do the same. After settling on a 2022 RX450hL, the sales rep then advised a $1,500 markup for hybrids. Why not disclose from the beginning? Once the car arrived the rep offered add-ons and other features including advised a $1,500 markup for hybrids. Why not disclose from the beginning? Once the car arrived the rep offered add-ons and other features including a 3rd party extended warranty! I asked what about Lexus bumper to bumper extended warranty then he offered that one. Terrible experience so had my deposit refunded and going with another dealership. Also submitted complaint to Lexus corporation. More
Overall, very positive experience! Zach was outstanding in customer service! Friendly and professional atmosphere. Quality automobile at a reasonable price. My only negative comment is Zach was outstanding in customer service! Friendly and professional atmosphere. Quality automobile at a reasonable price. My only negative comment is that the cleaning staff could have done a better job of cleaning the car interior. More

I had a signed Contract to purchase an LX 600 to be registered at my family’s vacation home to meet their “in-state sales policy.” But then, like any shady business, they snubbed me. They sold the Car out from under me. Without even a courtesy call to inform me that suddenly, my family’s estate does not qualify because part of it is used as “lodging.” I call BS on that. I am willing to bet they found out they can sell the car at a higher Market Adjustment to someone else, and decided to back out of a deal, a contractual agreement. I will be consulting my attorney to seek a Legal remedy, as well as filing a complaint against their Bond or Insurance. Hopefully, their poor professionalism is reflected in their bottom line over the next few years, and they are forced to sell and clean house… Disgusted and appalled by them. (In case that is not obvious.) As a Veteran, and someone that believes in the American Dream, these people have no respect for the ideals of free trade or any form of Capitalism, in America, if you can afford something you can buy it unless, of course, some absurd arbitrary rule makes it to where you cannot purchase because of potentially discriminative business practices...
