Friendliest car dealership we've ever dealt with. Our sales rep was very knowledgeable and told us after the deal "you have no idea what you really just bought". He was right. Fantastic vehicle, fantas sales rep was very knowledgeable and told us after the deal "you have no idea what you really just bought". He was right. Fantastic vehicle, fantastic car buying experience, and super people to work with. No delays, no hassles and no gimmicks. Rated price only because all vehicles are too high in price. For what we got, it was a fair deal. Thank you Petersons! We love our rig. More
My wife and I met Scott as we arrived on the car lot. He was young and energetic and listened to what we were interested in seeing. Scott showed us all the cars in stock that might meet our desired style of vehicle. When we decided on a certain vehicle, we were disappointed that the vehicle did not have Bluetooth capabilities, which was going to be a deal breaker. Scott took us to Jeff, who remembered they had a aftermarket Bluetooth device that another customer changed their mind about installing. Jeff offered us the installation at a good price. Another Sales Manager, Mike Ploskonka, stopped by as we were discussing the device and stated the dealership would pay half of the cost if we bought the vehicle. The deal was done, and we are scheduled for the installation this Thursday. Everyone we dealt with were exceptional representitives of Peterson Chevrolet, we intend on being long time customers. More

Our interaction with Terry Taylor was very positive. He helped us find a car similar in size and style to our previous car (which is what we wanted)and made useful suggestions when appropriate. Our entire experience was wonderful. Everything was straight forward and they did what they said. We were treated very well. Nobody was too pushy, nobody tried to oversell us on anything. When we were searching for a pre-owned vehicle we started our search on eBay. After looking around on there, we found a few vehicles we were interested in. Decided to go and test drive each one and finally our search on eBay. After looking around on there, we found a few vehicles we were interested in. Decided to go and test drive each one and finally decided to go with the one at Peterson Chevrolet. The salesman was helpful and I appreciated his willingness to give us his time. Because of this reason, we decided to buy the vehicle at the dealership, rather than pay for it on eBay and just pick it up at the dealer. We thought it was wrong to do that since the salesman had spent time with us. Anyway, there was a couple of things that the dealer agreed to fix on the vehicle prior to the sale being final. One was a faulty gas cap cover, another was a leak, and the other the rear a/c unit that wasn't blowing. Prior to completing the sale, the service department said that the leak on the vehicle was fixed as they had left it out for 24 hours, in the same spot, with no issue. A few days after the purchase they had called me and said that the new gas cap cover was in and scheduled me to come in to replace it, along with the rear air issue. Well, we took it in. The gas cap cover was fixed, but they said that we needed to come back for the a/c, which was a little bit of a hassle, but no problem. We brought the car back the next day and they inspected and determined that it was going to involve replacing some eletrical sensor on the rear a/c motor, I believe. The bigger problem was now they said they were not going to be able to fix it, because it was too much money. We explained that this was something agreed upon prior to purchase and they referred us back to the salesman. Well after a couple of coversations with him, and him checking with his manager, there stance did not change. They determined that we had been given too good of a deal on the vehicle and couldn't justify fixing the a/c. We finally just got frustrated and gave up. Then, to top it all off the car starting leaking again the next day. We have purchased a lot of cars over the years and whenever a dealer would agree to something, it was always done. This is the first time I have experienced this and am very disappointed. I understand that buying a preowned vehicle can come with risks, but when issues are determined before the purchase of the vehicle, and agreed to be fixed, it just doesn't seem right. I would have definitely understood if we had been driving it for a week and something went wrong, it would be on us. But in this situation, it seems they should have honored what was told to us. I am really frustrated with myself, though, because if I would had originally purchased the vehicle on eBay, they would have had to fix the issue, no questions asked, or they would have had to take the vehicle back. eBay has a 30 day guarantee on what is posted in the listing. If something is not as described, they will allow you to take it back. And this vehicle was described as having working rear air. I have grown to trust dealerships at their words over the years, but this has made me more skeptical again of any promises made. Next time I will probably have to purchase the vehicle on eBay, and protect myself. More
This was the easiest car buying experience we've ever had. Both John and Rod were great people! They listened to what we needed and then they got us a vehicle better than we could have ever dreamed. Deal went smoothly and I was happy with the transaction. If there was one issue it was this. We were happy with the price of the vehicle we purchased. The advertised price online was fair and we never tried If there was one issue it was this. We were happy with the price of the vehicle we purchased. The advertised price online was fair and we never tried to get the vehicle for less. However, On the day that we arrived to pickup the vehicle in Boise the price of the vehicle dropped by $600 on the website. We inquired about the price change and stated that we would like the vehicle for the updated price. We were quickly dismissed and told that the price quoted would be the selling price and that the $600 price change was for military folks even though there wasn't a mention anywhere on the website for military discount. If the $600 drop in price was for Military it should be stated as such. If you don't want to sell a vehicle for the price you advertise, don't advertise it as such. I should also note that we did not notice the price change until we returned home to Nevada. I had thought that the vehicle came equipped with remote start and I went online to see the vehicle specs. It was then that I noticed the $600 price change. We called and were dismissed. All of that being said, the staff at Peterson was very good to us and very friendly, there was obviously an error clerical or otherwise that happened and no one wanted to take ownership of it. More
