New car purchase. I was satisfied with the overall experience. Good Experience when buying, but not so good after. I never look forward to going to a car dealership. I get all worked up before going in for no reason. My pregnant wife needed a larger car, so we we I never look forward to going to a car dealership. I get all worked up before going in for no reason. My pregnant wife needed a larger car, so we went in to look at a Mercury Mariner. I was very shocked to how nice the dealership was overall. Everyone was very very nice. John Iris (Ronchetti) made things transition very quickly. The GM (Jim) even talked to us a few times and was very friendly. At the end of the evening I really felt like they had gained a "customer for life". My wife and I were very happy with the customer experience. We are very loyal when it comes to good customer service. Later that evening: It was very hot out when we test drove the car, so we had the AC on full blast. On the way home we didn't have the AC on as loud and noticed two very annoying rattles in the car. I called John Ronchetti the next day and told him about it. I am not someone who likes to complain about things and really just wanted to move on after buying the car. When I called John I felt like he was more disappointed I called than anything and didn't want to talk. I told him about the rattle. He told me that they couldn't look at it because the next day was Saturday. I let him know that in fact the next day was Friday and not Saturday. He quickly said I will see what we can do and give you a call back. That was Thursday July 31st and today is Tuesday August 5th and I have still not heard back. I am really not the type of person who wants to micromanage and will not keep calling. I don't do that in my job and don't expect to do it to others. I did fix one of the rattles over the weekend by putting electrical tape over the back door latch. The other ended up being an Air Door Actuator. They must not check this on their 100+ point inspection. 100+ point inspection?? They must have had a person of hearing drive it or had the ac turned up like we did... Overall I would say the buying experience was good, but the followup was sub par. Once you leave the dealership they loose their sense of customer service. 8-11-2014 Followup: When we financed our car we added gap insurance. Which I truly feel is a good thing to buy. I was told I could cancel this no problem up to 30 days. I found out I could get it for half the price through our insurance company. So, 11 days after I purchased it I called to cancel it. I got a live person when I called, but they transferred me directly to a voice mail. The phone did not even ring once before I got the voice mail. I am still waiting to hear back on this. I sent a letter in the mail just in case I never hear back from them like before. Last thing I wanted to add is be aware before finance through them!! I found out after Peterson's says they are a direct lender through credit unions, but that really doesn't mean anything. We have excellent credit and the best they could do on a 2008 suv was 4.83%. The fact is that if you call any local credit union besides Idaho Central you will get 2.2. We will be refinancing as soon as possible. **Received a call from Jim today and he really made things right. He made sure we were taken care of and is going to make things right. More

Doing wheel alignment at BMW Peterson is my biggest mistake My BMW was in excellent condition before I took it in for service at Peterson BMW for tire change and alignment work. The car was performing like the ultimate driving machine up until the alignment work. My biggest mistake is to follow Service Advisor's advise and do wheel alignment work at Peterson BMW After taking the car out from the tire change and alignment service, the car started to pull to left and right by itself at 65 mph. At I84 highway turn, the car pulls left and right and traction control light is on. I have to call and bring the car for alignment check. After 2nd visit to Peterson BMW to service my car for half a day, I picked it up and again they do not do the job to fix it. I then informed the Service Manager and he is kind enough to send Cody to pick up my car. Peterson BMW has my car for the day and dropped it back for me. I told Cody to fix the alignment and test drove it and fix it until it is completely fixed. Well after one day and 1/5 of my gas tank gone on that day, the problem persist. At this time, I am speechless and do not know what to say to Peterson BMW. My car was driving great. Service advisor told me to spend $135 to do wheel alignment. Main reason is it is suggested, not required. I followed his advise and well 3 visits later, Peterson BMW cannot fix the wheel misalignment problem they introduced. I am very disappointed and already thinking of sending my car to another shop to see what Peterson BMW did to my car. The staff are friendly. The Technician is not capable. I am very frustrated with the quality of work at Peterson BMW. More
