Great first buying experience No nonsense, no to-and-fro dancing on price, straightforward what can we help you with and give you the best deal cut to the chase with a smile car bu No nonsense, no to-and-fro dancing on price, straightforward what can we help you with and give you the best deal cut to the chase with a smile car buying I've ever experienced. Upfront told them what my needs were, what my non-negotiable budget was, and that I'm comparing it with others on the market. Straight out, they expressed "what can we do to keep you from going to the competition?" I stated my expectations, and they beat it. Impressed! More

Horrific Lease Buyout Experience I was leasing a Pathfinder from Peter's with the lease coming to an end. I had decided that I wanted to buyout the lease (for various reasons) and ove I was leasing a Pathfinder from Peter's with the lease coming to an end. I had decided that I wanted to buyout the lease (for various reasons) and over the past few months have been saving money to buy it out in cash. From the first time I mentioned I wanted to buyout five months ago, the sales crew would try to convince me otherwise every time I went in or called to get information about the process. They would say things from 'Why would you want to have payments for the next 9 years', to 'you're losing so much money this is is a stupid decision'. They also tried to sell me on cars I wasn't interested in by questioning my vehicle requirements (i.e. I need large towing capacity on my SUV for my side job, but one of the sales guys was trying to convince me that I didn't need it and could downgrade to a Rogue). They also refused to hear that I wanted to pay CASH and instead would tell me the high cost of financing. Well the month came where I NEEDED to buy so I began calling to get started on the process of buying out the lease. It took about three weeks, multiple emails, several phone calls, and one drop-in to finally get someone to talk to me about this. I was told on the phone that the final cost would be: the agreed upon purchase price and the $300 buyout fee, both of which are in the contract so I knew that. But what he also told me was that there was a $370 dealer fee, $27 title fee, $40 state inspection fee, and MANDATORY 3 year warranty which was being priced at about $2000. So… I decided to head to Team Nissan in Manchester instead. I told them my frustration with Peter’s and what they had told me. The finance guy there told me that a warranty was absolutely not necessary and they cannot force anyone to purchase that. He also told me that they could do the buyout there, but the dealer fee was more, so he did recommend I go back to Peter’s and just tell them no to the warranty and if they pressed about it, mention the words BBB or lawyer, and ask to see the General Manager. So… back I went to Peter’s. I waited for about a half an hour before the finance guy was available. I told him I wanted to buyout the lease, gave him my information, and he went to do up the paperwork. After about another half an hour, he called me into the office. We started going through the numbers and came to the warranty fee. I told him that I had a problem paying $2000 for a warranty I didn’t want and should not be mandatory to purchase. He countered with “it’s a dealer requirement” so I asked to see the written policy, but of course he could not provide that. So I asked to speak with the GM, who conveniently was on business travel with no access to email or phone, but I could definitely leave a message and come back next week when he was back in the office (so I would have to take an additional day off work to deal with this). My blood pressure was boiling so I got up and walked out before I said something inappropriate or would regret later. I went back to Team Nissan and asked to speak with the Finance guy I had spoken with earlier (I was almost in tears at this point because I was so frustrated). I guess my painful experience had travelled throughout the floor, because I had someone else come over and said “I heard about your interaction with Peters, I hope this doesn’t turn you away from Nissan, but I would be happy to take care of this for you right now”. Finally! Twenty minutes later, I left the dealership as the owner of my Pathfinder. I was charged the vehicle buyout purchase price, the $300 dollar Nissan fee (both in contract) and a $499 dealer fee, which at that point in time I wasn’t even going to argue I was just happy they were helping me. I’m not sure why it was so hard for Peter’s to help me buy out a lease that they sold me without charging me an extra +$2,000. If they are going to require those fees, they should be in the contract or mentioned at the time of lease signing. I get that they’re really not making any money on it, I really do, but I am a loyal Nissan customer. Both of my vehicles have come from them, I do all my maintenance/service there, and I had always planned on buying future vehicles from there. I literally wanted to write out a $20,000 check to them in exchange for the title. It would have taken 20 minutes, but the process had dragged on for over a month. I will never, ever lease a vehicle through Nissan again. Nor will I ever return to Peter’s again for anything. That dealer has lost a customer, not to mention any positive reviews I normally would leave or customers I would have recommended to go there. More

Excellent service from start to finish When I showed up , I was only looking at vehicles trying to check out my options before having to trade my Ford lease in. I mentioned the two vehicle When I showed up , I was only looking at vehicles trying to check out my options before having to trade my Ford lease in. I mentioned the two vehicles I was looking into and Chris stated that Nissan was in the top 3 for ratings and Mazda was not rated nor a good car. I test drove a 2015 Rogue and got my husband to come take a look at it but in the end we ended up with a brand new vehicle for less money. The staff were very professional and polite during the entire time I was there. It was nice to talk with Ryan the business manager on a personal level as well and not just to talk numbers. I would definitely refer a friend to this dealership. More
