We were new to the area of Colorado Springs we needed a new car but wasn't sure where to go, so I went online to chech dealers, I wrote a few local dealers, but Perkins was the only one to respond in a tim new car but wasn't sure where to go, so I went online to chech dealers, I wrote a few local dealers, but Perkins was the only one to respond in a timely manner. The very morning I was looking up the address for Perkins, the dodge people called and was able to set an appointment for that day at noon. when we got to the dealership we meet with Scott he was very helpfull and very thorough with every aspect of our car buying experience. Steve has been great! I purchased my new 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sahara from him back in April. Steve and the rest of the staff worked hard to make us comfortable, unlike another Jeep dealership in town. There have been a couple of small things that have come up, paint needed repaired on a fender and I was missing the windows for my soft top. I called Steve and he handled everything with no hesitation. He went above and beyond to make me happy. My fender was repainted and I received my windows, with an apology, in less than one business day. I would highly recommend Steve and Perkins Motors. Thanks to Steve, I have my dream Jeep!! More
Bill is a great guy, picked me up at the airport and the 2012 Jeep Rubicon was ready when we arrived at the dealer, the test drive went great so the sales side was good. **(If you are wondering about the 2012 Jeep Rubicon was ready when we arrived at the dealer, the test drive went great so the sales side was good. **(If you are wondering about the airport part, we are out of state customers.)** That is until we got to finance which is where all the issues started, the price on his paperwork was over $3,500 higher than the contract price that was agreed upon because he said that he had to collect sales tax and that he would forward it. He also did not give us the "MCO" Manufacture Certificate of Orgin because he said that it would also be forwarded to our DMV along with the sales tax payment. We had purchased four other vehicles out of state, one of which was from another Jeep dealer in Colorado and we never had either of these issues from any of them. **(If this was required it should have been disclosed up front in the contract)** We thought there would be no surprises and we were ready with our pre-printed cashiers checks from the bank for the total transaction amount, so we had to use a credit card to cover the additional amount or return to the airport and fly home. However the fun did not end there when we returned home, we could not register our new Jeep because they did not forward the money or the MCO paperwork as they said. After severial phone calls & emails with our bank and the dealer, the money and paperwork was forwarded over 45 days later and the paperwork was not filled out correctly which caused us even more issues to correct at our DMV for a total of 62 days and several visits to the DMV to complete the simple registration process. Last but not least, a "Free" oil change good for only 30 days and only at Perkins Motors is NO Thank You for out of state customers, just a waste of time!! :( RECAP: The sales staff was frendly & professional, the dealer had a good selection and was clean but the after sales support and follow-up from finance & title was POOR! Bill Ward really did a great job, but the issues with the finance and title departments and the lack of follow-up after the sale are what brought the rating down! More
