I went into Perkins specifically for one of their used vehicles, and had the opportunity to work with Scott Matela. The entire team at Perkins was accommodating, friendly, and professional. I purchased this vehicle for my husband as a welcome home gift, and they helped me through the entire process. I received follow up phone calls during the purchase, as well as after I had left the dealership. Just a couple days after buying the truck, I had some concerns with noises coming from the brakes and before I could call them I was getting another follow up call from Scott! He quickly reassured me that Perkins would look into the matter, and they definitely did! I brought the truck in, without an appointment, and the same day received a call from the mechanic stating that they had found the issue with the brakes (they worked fine, but the original owner had put on the wrong brake pads), but not to worry, they had put on all new pads and turned the rotors at THEIR expense!! They handled every obstacle with a friendly and professional attitude, and made me feel like a valued customer. You can be sure that the next car buying trip will be to Scott and the rest of the wonderful staff at Perkins Motors. Thank you!! More

Our initial contact w/Perkins was on-line. We chatted w/someone from Perkins and they indicated they would contact us by e-mail to confirm what had been discussed on-line. We did not hear from anyone at Perkins and continued to shop at other dealerships. We had difficulties with other dealerships -- it was as if no one wanted to sell us a vehicle. We went back on-line, continued our interest in the 2013 Ford Escape at Perkins. We decided to give it another try and initiated phone contact with Perkins. The young lady on the phone, Laura, was very welcoming, made the effort to confirm the availability of two 2013 Ford Escape SEL vehicles. We decided to make the trip from Franktown, Colorado to Perkins Motor Company in Colorado Springs. Upon our arrival, we were immediately greeted by Scott Matela. We expressed our desire to see the Ford Escapes. From that point on, we were treated with respect, caring concern of our needs, and a thorough knowledge of what was needed and when. We had very tight time constraints and Scott did everything efficiently and professionally to move us through the process. He explained every step of the transaction, we appreciated his Christian values and his honest approach. Needless to say, we purchased a vehicle. There was no pressure placed upon us, we actually enjoyed our experience. We were in the finance office before we knew it. Randy Lucas had been advised of our time constraints. He, too, was prepared, very efficient and we felt very comfortable with the process. I took my 05 Ram 2500 in for a smoking problem and trouble filling the fuel tank. I was told it was a bad fuel injector and it's not covered under warranty and would cost 1075.00 to fix. I was also told the rollover valve in the fuel tank was bad and that would be 1500.00. I told them no thanks and I would come pick my truck up. I took my truck to a Chrysler jeep dealer up in Littleton and gave them the paper work Perkins gave me. I asked them to do all the same test and give me a second opinion. The service guy called and said the problem is a dirty fuel filter and all injectors check out as 98%. There was nothing wrong with the rollover valve in the tank either. He said there was a piece of plastic bottle cap in the fuller tube blocking the fuel from flowing in.The truck cost me 20 bucks to fix and I was not charged for the diagnostic or the removal of the plastic cap. The service guy said Perkins was just trying to rip me off. More
