I hesitate to give Al bad marks because I don't know if he was the problem or his management. Al was the one of the best salesmen I have met at the beginning. His management wouldn't budge on the cost, but called us the next day with a lower offer. The offer was fair and we liked Al so we decided to purchase a 2011 Pilot. We drove it home and the next day it wouldn't start. We called Kings Honda and no one really cared. One of the managers (Jonathan) told us about a battery problem he had when he bought his Honda, but failed to show any concern about selling us a vehicle that didn't start the day after we brought it home. So I changed the batery myself, which was one of the most complicated battery replacements ever ( see YouTube for example). If you want a reliable used vehicle and staff who cares beyond making a sale don't shop here. More
My wife and I drove from Kettering, because we knew they had a nice selection of used Accords. We set up an appointment, so they knew to expect us. They knew what I was looking for, all the options I wanted and the ones that I didn't care to have. Rob steered us in the direction of the cars we were interested in. He showed a couple that were very similar in options and pointed out why one was a better deal than the other. Long story short, I got exactly what I wanted at the price I was expecting to pay. I didn't feel like I needed to haggle for a better price. Great Experience! Many thanks to Rob and Kelly!!! More
The girl answering the phones at the front desk has a serious attitude problem. If she doesn't wish to transfer calls or gets easily annoyed when doing so, she needs to look for another job. I have been comparing pricing on both new and gently used vehicles. I found better prices at Kings Honda than other dealers in the Dayton/Cincinnati area. I will definitely consider doing business with this dealership when I purchase my next car. More
Was looking to buy a 2013 pilot today. 100% sure I was buying a pilot! No sales needed it was what I wanted. Got quote from another dealer but heard many good things about King's Honda so was working with buying a pilot! No sales needed it was what I wanted. Got quote from another dealer but heard many good things about King's Honda so was working with a salesman who ended up going home sick so I called and ended up receiving a call from Ken and informed him that we were wanting to sign on the line today and told him my price I received from the other dealer and he said no problem we will match it. So we loaded up my family and drove the 50 minutes to King's. On our way a manager called my wife and left a voicemail saying she just received the price info from Ken and they would match it. Got there and started to do paperwork only to have them say that they in fact could not match the price we gave them over the phone before traveling all the way out there. Then the price they gave and said it was thee lowest anyone could go was actually $550 more than the online price I was given from Marc Kowalk. These are clearly deceptive people who are open to lie and mislead you just to get you to drive out to them. They did it as if it was standard operating procedure? The fact that they did it like it was nothing even though we have a voicemail stating the given price and that they in fact would match it? I feel like someone must investigate these policies? I know that all salespeople lie it is in their DNA but to lie in such a manner is insane. I will make it my point to inform any and every website and person of these practices by King's Honda!!! More
We were met at the door by "greeter" whose name I don't recall. He made us feel welcome as we came through the door and found Gulia for us. I was very impressed with Gulia. 1)She was able and willing to negotiate pricing with me over the phone before I made the trip to Kings Honda. Living in Rising Sun, IN means that it is a ~60 mile trip one-way. I didn't want to make the trip without good reason. 2) At the dealership she was attentive and friendly. She led my son and I to the waiting area for coffee while she went to the lot to retrieve the car for us to test drive. When she brought the car, it had been run for long enough to warm the interior, clear the windshield of snow and fog, and make driving it comfortable. After we purchased the car, she spent enough time demonstrating the computerized features to allow me to use them immediately. Although we did not plan to buy a Pilot at this time, Gulia arranged for my son to drive a new Pilot. This was useful to us when considering what vehicle to purchase for my wife in 3-5 years. Jenni Hoskins was also polite and flexible. She politely listened to our questions and provided the details of time and cost for the various financing options we considered. The Kings Honda team we met were professional, courteous and well trained. More

The GM was more than helpful and very sincere, and more than tried to make everything right. I understand when buying a used vehicle, not everything will be perfect, but a Honda Certified Used vehicle is supposed to be a step above the rest. I took the car in and they re-did the Certified Pre-Owned check, fixed a few remaining issues. They also provided a rental car, I guess their normal service cars were all booked, so that was great service on their part. They were also going to give me the 2nd key that was supposed to be included. I picked up my vehicle today and everything seems to be ok. They found a very large stick wedged near the driveshaft that was causing the horrible noise. No idea when or how it got there, but the noise progressively got worse since buying. It now is fine. They cut a new key and had it inside the car ready to go. I got in and left the dealer thinking everything was just peachy now. The key they made for me doesn't work, I guess they just forgot to program the key. I can re-program it along with my current key on my own, but from forgetting to connect the windshield washer sprayers, to forgetting to check lighting in the car, and forgetting to check if the fuel door opened or not, it makes me wonder just what else slips through the cracks. I will continue to update my review over the next few months. PREVIOUS UPDATE: So far, this has been a pretty crappy experience. While looking at a Certified* pre-owned Honda, and finding oversight after oversight and flaw after flaw, the dealer agreed to fix the issues (simple stuff like map lights not working, windshield wiper fluid not pumping, etc.) After negotiating a semi-reasonable price for a Certified* Pre-Owned Honda with trade in, I paid and left the dealer, only to return 30 minutes later when the gas door wouldn't open (I've never bought a vehicle where the dealer leaves you on empty either), the windshield wiper fluid wouldn't pump either. Seems they certify things by making check marks on a piece of paper, not by actually checking anything. They also gave me 1 key for my vehicle, and 1 key to a totally different vehicle. It has now been 6 days and I'm still trying to get another key. It seems the minute I paid my money, any and all customer service went out the window. The nice pleasant helpful salesmen turned into your normal used car salesmen. I'm now awaiting a call back to schedule an appointment to get the car looked at after a horrendous noise has started happening from the front right wheel area, on the 4th full day of ownership. More
