Overall it was a pleasant experience. The one negative was that there were no 2012 Honda Civic LX available on the lot even though local advertising mentioned they were. I ended up buying a 2011 Civic EX was that there were no 2012 Honda Civic LX available on the lot even though local advertising mentioned they were. I ended up buying a 2011 Civic EX which allowed me to get more options than if I purchased a 2012. Joe and Ken were great and it all worked out for all of us. I'm happy with my car. More

I inquired about a used Pilot via the dealer's website late one evening and received a response very early the next morning. I made arrangements to test drive the car and was introduced to Larry Lancaster late one evening and received a response very early the next morning. I made arrangements to test drive the car and was introduced to Larry Lancaster when I got there. The receptionist at the desk was very friendly and helpful. Larry took me on the test drive, was very knowledgeable about the Pilot, and was especially helpful with questions I had about towing a boat with it. Larry took my Element to be evaluated for trade-in; the showroom is very nice and I appreciated the coffee bar and "lemon-water", which was especially refreshing on a 90+ degree day. The price we agreed upon included Performance adding the wiring harness to the Pilot. Larry arranged for that to be done right away before I picked up the car. We did the paperwork with Mr. Williams (I'm sorry, I don't recall his first name) and got all of that out of the way so I wouldn't have to deal with it later when I returned to pick up the car. Mr. Williams was very pleasant and helpful. The car was ready to go when I returned a couple hours later with my title for trade-in and the check for the Pilot. Very shiny and even had a nice sign on it with my name on it. Larry sat in the car and went over all the controls with me. All in all, a very nice experience. The thing I appreciated the most was that Larry knew SO much about the car, and also that he didn't try to talk me into a new Pilot. He respected the fact that I knew what I was looking for. More

From the very beginning of our conversation with Smitty, he was direct, honest and clear with no pressure or game-playing whatsover. I was really quite surprised by the generosity of the trade-in offer for my 98 CRV and then again when Smitty presented us with what the price would be for the car we purchased not quite a week later. Within that week, I did make a request that it include Ohio sales tax and title and transfer fees, but when Smitty got back to us quite promptly, I was not surprised by the response from Performance that as a "high volume" dealer, the price given me was the best they could do. Since I already felt I was getting a much better deal than I had hoped for, I had no problem with that response. I did talk to Superior Honda before making my commitment with Performance, an experience that left me with a very bad taste in my mouth - too much of the old game-playing back and forth negotiations. The salesman had taken my key when he checked out my car, and in order to leave, I had to twice demand they return my key. So thanks for being fair, efficient, and direct. I'd definitely come back, although it is not an easy or convenient location from our Clifton home. More

I will not deal with anyone other than Performance Toyota. The entire staff is friendly, professional, and timely...not to mention honest! Roger was truly a pleasure to work with. He promptly replied with a quote to our email when expressing interest in a 2011 Honda Fit Sport. We had also contacted five other dealerships in our area via E replied with a quote to our email when expressing interest in a 2011 Honda Fit Sport. We had also contacted five other dealerships in our area via Edmunds.com. Some initially didn't quote but wanted us to come in for a test drive. Roger beat the "out to door" price on written quotes from other dealerships. As a side note, we were all set to purchase our vehicle from Jeff Wyler Colerain, but our sales experience was a huge disappointment. When we inspected the car to close the deal, the car was filthy both inside and out. There were several stains in the interior, an accumulation of bugs and debris in the hatchback door jam, a gouge on the bumper and a scratch on the door. This car had 27 miles on it! When we pointed these issues out, the salesperson never apologized or said we'll make it right, she just started cleaning the interior. You could see the frustration on her face. She finally stated a painter would fix the blemishes the following week and asked if we would close the deal today! I digressed, but I wanted to paint a picture of our holistic buying experience. To summarize our experience with Roger, we felt that he had integrity. He was truthful and honest and we felt that we weren't taken for a ride. He even introduced us to an acquaintance that was the lot looking for a low priced Honda for his niece. Roger was off on the day that we picked up our new car so Reed handled the final steps. The car was clean, no scratches! Reed took the time to explain the car's features to my wife even though he had a long-sleeve shirt and a tie when it was around 90 degrees outside. My wife was disappointed that the “Technology Reference Guide” and Honda Owners Manuals were not reviewed. This was important to her as her last vehicle was 16 years old and car technology has changed. Overall, an excellent experience and I Performance Honda will be the first dealership that I will visit when looking for another Honda! More
Our initial experience with buying a used vehicle was great. After getting the vehicle home we realized the back window vents of the van did not open. We immediately contacted Shane about this. We were leaving town, but upon our return we contacted Shane again. We were curious as to whether or not the windows were checked during the "110 Point Inspection" before being put on the lot to sell. This call went out to Shane on Monday, July 11 and we still have not heard back from him (Thursday, July 14). We feel that the back window vents should have been in operating order (110 Point Inspection) and that the dealer should cover the cost to get them operational. If we had to rate the experience for AFTER the sale, the above numbers would be quite different! More
