Terrible Buying Experience I was car shopping for approximately 3 weeks and visited several dealerships in the area. We visited Performance Ford to test drive and hopefully purc I was car shopping for approximately 3 weeks and visited several dealerships in the area. We visited Performance Ford to test drive and hopefully purchase a used Ford Edge. The vehicle was in excellent condition and drove very well - I was very impressed by the vehicle itself. We agreed to a price and were in the process of signing paperwork when I learned that what the salesperson and I agreed upon was different at signing. Unfortunately, the salesperson went on vacation the following day so we tried to work with management to come to an agreement without success. Not only did we back out of the agreement but when trying to have our deposit returned to us (we gave cash and a credit card) within a 1 hour time period, we were unable to get it back until over a week later (the excuses and extensive hassle was beyond unsatisfactory). We called daily to inquire when we would be getting our deposit back; I was constantly given excuses as to why the check wasn't ready or if there was anyway we could work out an agreeable price. It was very obvious that they were stalling to return our deposit (in hopes to salvage the sale, no doubt) and acted as if they couldn't be bothered assisting us. Performance Ford is the epitome of not only a poor buying experience but unacceptable customer service. In short, a shady and sleazy dealership... I learned 2 things that day: DO NOT give a deposit in cash and DO NOT buy a car from Performance Ford of Randolph NJ. Stay away !! We had to take our car for a recall and to get a few other things done. They are extremely overpriced, but that is not main issue. A few days after I We had to take our car for a recall and to get a few other things done. They are extremely overpriced, but that is not main issue. A few days after I picked my car up from the Lincoln service center, it shut off on route 80 with my infant son in the car. We had it towed and looked at by two different mechanics because we felt like something wasn't right with the Lincoln service center. They both said it needed to be brought back to Lincoln. When we called Lincoln they were extremely unprofessional And rude, even hanging up the phone on us. We were put in a very dangerous situation and they were anything but helpful And accommodating. We were never provided a rental car. We will continue to advocate so that this does not Happen to someone else. More

Fantastic Dealership!! I went to Performance Ford after having a very bad experience at another dealership. I went with my guard up. I got there mid morning on Saturday an I went to Performance Ford after having a very bad experience at another dealership. I went with my guard up. I got there mid morning on Saturday and Mike Varela came out and greeted me as I was looking at the Ford Explorers. I explained what I was looking for and I also explained a little of what happened to me at the prior dealership and he was so very understanding of why I would be hesitant to continue this process, but just a short time later we made a deal that I could not be happier with and I left there with my brand new Ford Explorer XLT with the options I wanted and more and at a great price. I will definitely be going back to Performance Ford when I am ready for my next vehicle. Thank you Mike and the staff at Perfomance Ford!!! More
