The problem with my truck was taken care of and for that I am very great full. Unfortunately I had to wait 2 1/2 hrs. However, I would recommend this GMC to anyone who needed work done. Arrived at my appointment time and car was taken right into the shop. The service techs at drop off were very courteous and followed all COVID 19 protocol. My car went in for a service and brakes that squeal so loud it’s embarrassing to drive places. I bought my truck in October, the salesman assured me that the squealing noise will go away as the brand new loud it’s embarrassing to drive places. I bought my truck in October, the salesman assured me that the squealing noise will go away as the brand new brake pads and rotors break in. The mechanic who did the service was lazy, he only changed the oil, nothing else, probably because it’s their free service, brakes still squeal louder than ever. Coincidentally the only day the brakes didn’t make a sound was when the mechanic was working on it. They squealed as I pulled up and as I drove off. I probably wouldn’t come back here for services and definitely never for repairs. Maybe I would buy a car if the price was right, but I would definitely never recommend this dealer to anyone I know, not even someone I don’t like. Obviously I’m not a happy customer, I use my vehicle to make a living, so I can’t be there every day letting them troubleshoot issues with brakes that a 5 yr old can figure out. Unfortunately I got screwed!! More
We took our Buick to the new owners of the dealership that we purchased to give them a chance to earn our business. We were due for a standard oil change, so we wanted to give their Service department a that we purchased to give them a chance to earn our business. We were due for a standard oil change, so we wanted to give their Service department a chance to earn our trust by writing up what they though was needed for a Buick with 112,000 miles on it. We did not tell them that we were in possession of a coupon mailing that they had sent out to bring people back to the dealership. Some of the items they listed as being needed included replacing the cabin air filter (at $109.99), alignment ($179.95) and the AWD service special ($569.95). The coupon book they sent included all of these items at $79.95, $149.95 and $499.95. You would think that having the car in the shop already, they would realize the convenience for both us as customers and for their mechanics to honor these coupon prices in a single visit for such an old car. Offering us the $130 in discounts would have resulted in increasing our sale by over $700. We also asked the service department to look at the headlight. We were told by our regular mechanic that the articulating motor for the headlamp was not working and suggested that we take it to the dealer because they have more experience than he does. This was not caught in the multi-point inspection. Since we were aware of the problem, this was a repair we were likely to authorize had they said it was necessary. But the most egregious one was the Front Engine Cover Leaking at $2562.50. Since the car has 112,000 miles on it, we would have expected a reputable service person to at least ask if the timing belt or cooling pump had been replaced on the car. If you are going to have to go that deep into the engine to replace a cover, it really should just be swapped out while doing the other work in the same area. Having had a bad experience with another Buick dealer about separate labor charges for simultaneous repairs on our steering system, this was a red flag to us again. It is always a shame that the hard work of the technicians in the shop gets obfuscated by the service sales people. I don’t know if its that they don’t know cars or are just greedy, but the service sales team does not present themselves as trying to earn a customer’s business. More
