Purchased a Z51 corvette, my trade-in was an Ecoboost Mustang; could not be happier with the trade-in value, the customer service, and most importantly, my new car! Mihai explained to me that it had to do with how they are trained, but it still left a slightly sour memory in my experience. I asked directly if the price was open for negotiation, and they are trained to respond “positively.” The response I got was “ We are motivated to sell we price them accordingly you won't be disappointed” so I felt as though it was open for negotiation. I’m disappointed, because I’ll be a statistic that the method “works,” due to the very transactional nature of used car sales. I wish they would have been honest and upfront about that point, so I had the proper expectations after driving 3+ hours each way to buy the car. While that was a bad start to the visit, Mihai did a good job recovering from it and somewhat working with me to improve the experience. I didn’t feel as though it got too hostile, and I felt as though he genuinely was empathetic to my perspective. We ended up making the deal, and I got a nice car. The dealership was nice, Stephanie was welcoming, and Alex and Mihai were good conversationalists and very personable. Edit - The initial review was 4/5 stars. Mihai followed up with me, and he expressed that they took the review seriously and are addressing the training issues. If they successfully correct out the miscommunication in the future, then it would be a great buying experience. The follow-up and sincerity of the apology warrants the review to be adjusted up to 5 stars. More
