He was very respectable, professional, kind, and knowledgeable of the car company. He gave us an overview of the car we were looking at (2018 WRX). He drove us to the car to check it out and test drive (no time wasted). As I decided that this was definitely the car for me, he began throwing numbers until we agreed on an excellent deal. He was very professional, outgoing, and made the process of buying a car fun, rather than stressful and boring. Even days after the deal, he checked up on us, ensured our safety, and treated us like friends. He's an excellent part of the Subaru team and one of the main reasons I was happy with our buy. Buying experience at Peoria Subaru and Bob Shotwell We have purchased many vehicles over the years and this was one of the best/easiest buying experiences we ever had. I did a lot of research looking fo We have purchased many vehicles over the years and this was one of the best/easiest buying experiences we ever had. I did a lot of research looking for a high clearance vehicle we could use to go on some unpaved back roads. The Subaru Crosstrek fit the bill. We chose Peoria Subaru for two reasons: price and they were highly recommended by a neighbor who purchased several vehicles from them in the past. We were referred to Bob Shotwell in sales. I called and spoke with Bob on his day off I might add. He was very knowledgeable, supportive and helped us narrow our search over the phone so that when we arrived at the dealership the vehicle we were considering was ready for us to test drive. Prices of the vehicles at Peoria were very competitive and somewhat less that other Subaru dealerships in our area. We used a discount warehouse service aligned with Peoria Subaru which saved us a little more but not much. I can’t say enough good things about Bob Shotwell. He was professional, friendly and courteous to both my wife and I and he was very candid about all things associated with buying a Subaru. There was never any pressure to buy a vehicle at any time during the process. In fact, Bob told us that if we didn’t see the exact vehicle we wanted, there were more on the way and that he would watch for one the met our needs. Once we decided on the vehicle, Bob went over every function and feature of the car with us making sure we understood everything and were satisfied. We received a follow up email from Bob the next day thanking us for our business. He also gave us his contact info including his cell number should we have any questions. One negative issue of note. We leased our vehicle. Subaru charges a $300 fee if you decide to walk away at the end of the lease period. Lexus does not charge a return fee. Neither my wife nor I recall the finance person pointing out this return fee to us. Probably because so few people ever return their leased Subaru’s and not lease or buy another one. This is not a fancy place like many other dealerships. The showroom and waiting areas are quite small and the number of vehicles on the lot is extreme. It’s obvious they are there to sell a lot of cars quickly. Overall, I would recommend Peoria Subaru and Bob Shotwell in particular to anyone looking for a new car. More

Ran credit for more than we needed My husband and I went in knowing the car we wanted it was priced at 25900, and we where going to trade in our car for an agreed in writing price of 54 My husband and I went in knowing the car we wanted it was priced at 25900, and we where going to trade in our car for an agreed in writing price of 5400, we w got there at 8am left at 1pm with out the car because they couldn’t get us approved. Got a call later saying we where approved at 3k down, 650 a month for a 12% something seemed wrong here. We did our own financing then went back car was gone. Which was ok. We later got a letter in the mail saying stating they ran our credit for 39741, that’s almost 14000 more than we needed. We could have left with the car I was so pissed. Called and they wouldn’t do anything or explain why they ran it so high. DONT SHOP HERE More
