If we could put zero, I would. We bought a 2015 Nissan Quest from Penske for $14k, drove it for 7,000 miles, and, at our first oil change, the transmission now needs to be replaced We bought a 2015 Nissan Quest from Penske for $14k, drove it for 7,000 miles, and, at our first oil change, the transmission now needs to be replaced. Along with that the brake pads and rotors when sold also need to be replaced. There was a missing pin that the Nissan dealership said could have flown off one of the brakes while driving at any time. The internal computer system needed replaced and a belt was about to fail. Purchasing from a private party or buy here, pay here, I’d feel this situation is a more likely scenario. A reputable five star dealer is someone I put more trust in. Our mechanic said 70% of our issues should’ve been flagged for repair or told to a customer prior to purchase. We are now out a car, owe more money than what it’s worth in the current condition, and their response was sorry about your luck. This was our second purchase from Penske and have learned that loyalty has no value to do right by the customer. Go in for our first oil change and come out with a $13,000 bill. Simple math - we could’ve bought a new car. I will never trust them again and warn everyone to bring a mechanic with you before purchasing a used car. Lesson learned. Thanks Penske. More
While working with the dealership they had us wait an exuberant amount of time to be helped, sold us a car without notifying us that the car only had one key rather than the two, does not have a user man exuberant amount of time to be helped, sold us a car without notifying us that the car only had one key rather than the two, does not have a user manual, is not making it right and did not fix the scratches in the paint prior to putting it on the lot, we now have to go back to have the paint fixed and it was obvious they are hoping we don’t return and if/when we do I’m sure they will make us wait in hopes we give up and leave. The. Once we paid and we’re leaving, they forgot to bring us the keys and car and we had to go find someone. I will post again after the paint fix and requesting the key fix, hopefully I can give a better review and they fix the issues. Update: touch up paint completed, spoke with multiple individuals and they refuse to address the key issue. I wouldn’t have had such an issue except it was never communicated that the 200 dollar second key was missing. During the discussion I even mentioned that even if it is what it is for us, to make it right for the next customer and put it in the car description, but they refused to change that policy for their dealership. Be sure to ask and look at every possible item regarding the car prior to signing anything because they will not volunteer the information unless you directly ask. More
