I replied to a birthday greetings email sent to me by Bruce Heath, Area VP for Penske Honda, Indianapolis. Mr. Heath inquired about my overall ownership experience with my Certified 2007 Milano Red Fit S Bruce Heath, Area VP for Penske Honda, Indianapolis. Mr. Heath inquired about my overall ownership experience with my Certified 2007 Milano Red Fit Sport, 5 speed. I voiced several concerns in my reply, which if corrected would turn a very good purchase/ownership experience into a great experience. Also I felt in purchasing a Certified car the level of cleanliness and road readiness should be higher than a non-Certified car. Mr. Heath replied to me the same day I sent my email. He listened intently on the phone about my concerns: 1) the car was washed but not very clean on delivery on the inside; 2) various paint chips in the hood were not touched up prior to purchase; 3)a large wear patch on the carpet in the driver's footwell was becoming worse. I am the 2nd owner of this Fit, and purchased the car with 48K miles on it. Mr. Heath was understanding and offered to correct these concerns. Further discussion with Mr. Heath showed me quite clearly that he and his dealership were intent on pleasing me as a customer. He offered me to take care of the concerns at no cost to me and provided me a rental car while my Fit was in the shop. I was very pleased at his offer to take care of these concerns at no cost or inconvenience to me. Here is the net result of my experience: I received a complimentary oil change(car was due for one),my car was completely detailed inside and out, the paint chips repaired, AND the carpet was not repaired as we discussed but replaced! I have owned Mercury, Nissan, Chrysler, GM, Ford products. I have been treated well by the dealers, but not anywhere close to the level of service- walking the talk, and customer care I received from the folks at Penske Honda, Indianapolis. Penske Honda truly believes and shows that the customer is important, and is the reason for their business. The following Penske folks killed me with customer service: Jeff Bell Svc. Mgr, Service Advisors: Ryan Roose and Robbie Neighbors, Customer Service Mgr.: Shannon Nealy. Note that upon purchase and delivery of my Fit Sport 3 months prior, I had received an email from Ms. Nealy and replied with my concern about the cleanliness of the car. Her immediate reply was to offer me a complimentary detail and oil change to make things right. So the high level of customer service begins way upstream at the start of ownership. I will also say that my sales advisor, Dave Redmond, and Finance Mgr. Brent Rozzi worked really hard to put a deal together to get me into this Honda Fit. This is 2011, and when all that is heard in various media about companies shouting about their quality of customer service and how they love their customers, Penske Honda goes about their work in delivering the highest level of customer service I have ever experienced from a dealership. More
This was my first Honda purchase. Julie and Ben on the Internet sales team were wonderful to work with. They provided me with the options and pricing exactly how I asked for it, with all the details I nee Internet sales team were wonderful to work with. I told them my goals for my trade and for the payment, and they made that happen, simple as that. There was no pressure, only professionalism. Mike also made the finance process smooth and did everything he could to explain the details and get me the best possible lease to fit my budget. Too bad all car buying experiences aren't this good. Experiences in the past have made me feel that a female car shopper can be seen as naive or uninformed. In fact, I visited another Honda dealership in the Indianapolis area where the tactics were aggressive and downright offensive. Working with the folks here was just the opposite, and I'm glad I chose to do business with Penske Honda. I really love my new CRV so far! I've already recommended it to friends. More
