I wrote this to Subaru: “ As a long time Subaru owner (1998…I can’t believe that’s a long time…), I can positively account for the excellence of Subaru products, but I rarely see public, positive account (1998…I can’t believe that’s a long time…), I can positively account for the excellence of Subaru products, but I rarely see public, positive accounts of excellent Subaru dealerships and their Service Departments. Today I want to express my sincere appreciation of Peninsula Subaru here in Bremerton, Washington. I’ve been buying and getting service from this location for years and the whole team, the environment, the management, the techs and products are awesome, particularly Sean, a service rep for the Dealership. He went above and beyond assisting me with an issue. I won’t reveal last names, or the issue, but I’ll say it absolutely made my day! Both service managers I’ve met over the years are fantastic and obviously run a great program. It is but for the greatness of this store that I WILL buy another Subaru there (those Wilderness Editions are fire!); I’m actually looking forward to spending money…wow. Please pass my compliments to Peninsula Subaru ownership and management to reward Sean however they can. Feel free to use this testimonial however you want as well. Thanks again, Scott. More
After 18-days that our Outback was in your shop, the car was delivered to our home with unsatisfactory conditions. Repairs appear satisfactory, however following paying $13,669.91, we expected a clean car was delivered to our home with unsatisfactory conditions. In addition to dirty exterior and exterior conditions (car had been washed before bringing it in, there was zero gas in tank. Emergency warning warned about the no-fuel. We expected better from Peninsula Subaru. Even 1-gallon would have been appreciated. But fumes only? Disappointing and upsetting. Is this the best you can do? I don't think we will come back. More
What is going on with the service department? I’ve always had excellent service but the last two times this isn’t the case. I just drove 30 minutes to take my car for a map update. This is after speaking to a woman in the service dept. two times confirming that they can do the update for me. She had me down for an oil change and tire rotation which just yesterday I told her I did not need. Just the update. I got there this morning and I was down for those services and NO map update. Nick said, sorry we can’t do those. What?? That is specifically what I was there for. He said, sorry we are not able to do them. Obviously their phone people are not trained well with booking services. The last time I took my car for an oil change I asked about a map update and they said they would do it and when I picked up my car, they removed that service from my work order but said I could book another appointment and it would be done. This is why I asked two times if it could be done!!! Not the case. So…. if you buy a Subaru know that you are on your own for any updates EVEN if they tell you they will do it! Peninsula Subaru needs to be honest and not waste customers time. I’m disappointed in a dealership that I’ve always recommended to friends. More
Yesterday (March 15, 2022) I had a routine oil change done by Peninsula Subaru. Their "Express Service" took over 2 hours. This morning, as I was preparing to take a long road trip and completed a visu done by Peninsula Subaru. Their "Express Service" took over 2 hours. This morning, as I was preparing to take a long road trip and completed a visual inspection of my car, I noticed oil on the undercarriage and a droplet of oil below the oil pan plug. On closer inspection, I discovered a puddle of oil on my garage floor. I checked the plug and discovered it was not even finger-tight. This could have led to a catastrophic failure of my engine if the oil level had gone too low while driving. This is completely unacceptable and incredibly poor service. Not the first time I received my car back in worse condition than when I brought it in (once the tires were very underinflated - less than when I brought the car in; and, another time they damaged one of my wheels, which had to be replaced). They have also recommended work that was not needed, as verified by another mechanic elsewhere. More

years never had an issue what discount tire nor have they ever done me wrong I go there they told me that my tire the whole was in a bad spot where it's not fixable I said okay and then he looks at my tires and noticed the tread on my tires on my side tread of the top was way uneven compared to the back or front I said huh that's weird because every time I went in and got my oil change I asked to have tire rotation and they told me that they do tire rotation after the fact I pick up my car after I got my oil change that they rotated the tires my oil and everything else checked out I said okay awesome so I drove across country went to Virginia got my oil changed on there at Subaru told him I need a tire rotation supposedly they rotated my tires okay so I don't know at this point in time whether if they did or not so as I'm on my way back home from West Virginia to Washington I ended up stopping in Arizona I was gone for a month mind you to get an oil change in Arizona and a tire rotation then again I don't know if they did the tire rotation like they told me they did but anyways I get back you know I get a flat tire but all the other times that I've been to peninsula Subaru to get my oil change they told me that they were doing tire rotation with oil change mind you next time anybody goes in for oil change tire rotation anything from anybody at this dealership weather if it's service or a salesperson I would definitely recommend recording everything they say because they don't go back on what they tell you and try to say something different well anyways get back to the story I'm at discount tire they tell me my tires haven't been rotated what not I understand I got to replace a tire wool it's a Subaru Forester all wheel drive car Les Schwab discount tire most tire places you have to replace all 4 tires so they're even tread and I know this for a fact because I worked at a tire place and I know how this works or as I am at discount tire I get on the phone with Subaru cuz my new this is a 2020 Subaru brand new with warranties still under warranty and I asked to speak to a manager at Subaru in the service department and asked why didn't my tires ever get rotated when I took a man and you guys told me you rotated them and I asked for it when I came there what does it show on our system that we ever did a tire rotation on your car why when you guys give me the piece of paper stating that all we did your oil change and you did your tire rotation not only at this shop but the other shops I've been to which the only other shop I've been to was the Virginia and the Arizona one most of my maintenances through peninsula Subaru so I'm on the phone with Subaru with the manager from service I told him I was at discount tire told him I'm right next to the gentleman that's taking a look at my tires been here for several years I see the guy every time I go in there they know me by name told the gentleman at Subaru the whole situation with my tire that it's not fixable and the tread on my tires have on the sidewall area well above the sidewall you know at the edges of both of the tires not the center but the edge on both sides are off and it look like it's never been rotated mind you I've been going to discount tire for years they've never done me wrong I actually still have tires on my car my truck with great tread on them because I take them in and get them rotated every time they needed to be done never had an issue they're in great shape still under warranty and I've had them longer than they expected me to have them they were surprised because I take care of my tires and I take care of my vehicles when I get maintenance done and serviced so the guy on the phone from Subaru talk to the guy Jessie at discount tire I believe the gentleman manager at Subaru was Rick or Richard are rich we're talking to each other Jessie told Richard from Subaru everything that was going on and that my tires haven't been rotated and that might read is off so the guy at Subaru this is not to take your business but him being a customer of buying a Subaru from us has a warranty that should cover it the tire and told me oh go ahead just have the discount tire put your donut on bring the car in will get you a rental and will take care of you will make sure everything's taken care of and I will give you a call when the car is ready or let you know what's going on I said okay sounds good so I come in gave him my license my insurance got the rental car I get a call later today say no it's going to cost you $120 to replace your tire I'm in a all wheel drive how can you replace one tire always shave the tire down to match your tire so you're going to tell me you're going to charge me $120 to shave down a brand new tire to put on my car More
Free oil changes for life(if you have lots of time to waste) I went in for an "Express Oil Change" today. I was told it would be an hour to an hour and a half. That's ok, I have the day off. Two hours and 15 minutes later I'm still waiting so I decide to walk around outside. I saw my car still sitting in the lot. I asked the service rep if it was still waiting to get in and she said yes and gave no indication that it would make it in any time soon. Two hours and 15 minutes and it hadn't even made it into the shop yet. What a waste of time. I didn't have the patience to wait any longer so I took my keys and left. If a "free" oil change is going to take three plus hours it's not free. I would rather pay an oil change shop and be done in 20-30 minutes. Buying a new Subaru(2015 Forester) from and dealing with Peninsula Subaru has been a huge disappointment. I don't recommend either one. I'm not impressed with the Forester or Peninsula Subaru. More

Why are we just now being told about this, and not at the time we refinanced? Poor, poor service if you ask me. We are buying a house and this info is needed. Now we have to go a different, thanks to the unprofessional help of this finance team. More
