I had a reservation with SOA for the Solterra and sadly, Peninsula Subaru was my dealer. I was taken aback when they added a $5000 markup. This shows this is a very greedy dealership. When I filed complaints with the BBB and WA AG, Peninsula Subaru told me that they can do whatever they want on pricing and then they cancelled my order. Again, I had a reservation with SOA and yet none of this matter to this dealership. All they care about is money and not the customer. I also wrote to Governor Inslee as he is a strong advocate of moving to EV to combat global warning. In fact, he proposed that WA state match the Fed Tax credit of 7500. This did not pass but I told Gov. Inslee that it didn't matter how much tax credit and incentives are out there as dealerships like Peninsula Subaru think of these as there money and the greed has no bounds. This type of dealership should be avoided as these actions show that money is all they think about and not the environment or customers. More
What is going on with the service department? I’ve always had excellent service but the last two times this isn’t the case. I just drove 30 minutes to take my car for a map update. This is after speaking to a woman in the service dept. two times confirming that they can do the update for me. She had me down for an oil change and tire rotation which just yesterday I told her I did not need. Just the update. I got there this morning and I was down for those services and NO map update. Nick said, sorry we can’t do those. What?? That is specifically what I was there for. He said, sorry we are not able to do them. Obviously their phone people are not trained well with booking services. The last time I took my car for an oil change I asked about a map update and they said they would do it and when I picked up my car, they removed that service from my work order but said I could book another appointment and it would be done. This is why I asked two times if it could be done!!! Not the case. So…. if you buy a Subaru know that you are on your own for any updates EVEN if they tell you they will do it! Peninsula Subaru needs to be honest and not waste customers time. I’m disappointed in a dealership that I’ve always recommended to friends. More
Our salesman is a top notched salesman, he gets back to you when he says he will or quickly. He follows up on any question or concern. Yesterday (March 15, 2022) I had a routine oil change done by Peninsula Subaru. Their "Express Service" took over 2 hours. This morning, as I was preparing to take a long road trip and completed a visu done by Peninsula Subaru. Their "Express Service" took over 2 hours. This morning, as I was preparing to take a long road trip and completed a visual inspection of my car, I noticed oil on the undercarriage and a droplet of oil below the oil pan plug. On closer inspection, I discovered a puddle of oil on my garage floor. I checked the plug and discovered it was not even finger-tight. This could have led to a catastrophic failure of my engine if the oil level had gone too low while driving. This is completely unacceptable and incredibly poor service. Not the first time I received my car back in worse condition than when I brought it in (once the tires were very underinflated - less than when I brought the car in; and, another time they damaged one of my wheels, which had to be replaced). They have also recommended work that was not needed, as verified by another mechanic elsewhere. More

I use this Dealership all the time. I just bought my 6 th Subaru through them and love the service and everything they do to make it a very pleasant experience as I have come to expect. We have bought a number of Subarus from this dealership over the years. Our first was a Forester. Then we bought a used Tribeca for our daughter in law, a used Outback for our son, a new Outback for us, over the years. Our first was a Forester.
