They were very informative and just there to help me so I could make decision . Even after purchase john kearns the salesman that helped me with my purchase has followed up with phone and email messages to make sure I was happy and or had any questions. Would highly reccomended peninsula subaru and john to anyone needing a vehicle. More
Two Identical Subarus My friend in Sequim WA was in the market for a 2014 Subaru Outback. She contacted Peninsula Subaru through the Costco Auto program. DJ Dougherty was My friend in Sequim WA was in the market for a 2014 Subaru Outback. She contacted Peninsula Subaru through the Costco Auto program. DJ Dougherty was immediately available to her and made the buying experience very professional and pleasant. I owned a 2011 Volvo S-80, but was interested in the advanced safety features and navigation in the Outback, but not available in my price range in the Volvo. I was casually interested in the 2015 Subaru Outback. But after meeting DJ, and knowing how pleased my friend was with Peninsula Subaru, it was a very easy decision to trade in my Volvo and purchase a 2014 Subaru Outback, identical to that of my friend's. The only difference? Hers has Washington plates and mine has Oregon plates! I'm glad I worked with Peninsula and DJ and would encourage my friends to make the drive from Portland to Bremerton. More

I was looking at a 2014 model with the options I liked. Mr. DJ Dougherty advised us that we would get a better deal if we ordered a 2015 model. We had a personal test-drive and order interview with the kind of attention and care that made our purchase clear and straight forward. Our order interview was the most important part of our purchase. We knew had made a good decision. Our work schedule made us wait to meet with Mr. DJ Dougherty to pick up our car when it arrived. Thanks to Mr. DJ Dougherty we knew our car was ready to be picked up as soon as our schedule permitted. This was yesterday! We appreciate the work Mr. DJ Dougherty did to have our car ready to be picked up. We enjoyed his personal attention and patience showing us all the car’s systems and features. He managed the sales process to make it clear and straight forward. We want to say that his personal care and attention during our test drive and order interview set the tone for one of our most important purchases. We love our car and car buying experience. Probably as good as one can expect from any car dealer. I would recommend the dealership, but only with some reservations. My interaction with Mr. Dougherty was quite pleasant. I was a little disappointed that my new vehicle was not washed - I appreciate that the car wash the dealership uses was closed that day due to the holiday, but I think someone at the dealership could have used a hose and a little car wash detergent to remove the bird droppings. The offer for me to return another day for a free car wash was not helpful, as I live about 35 miles from the dealership - 2 minutes with a hose at home fixed that problem. I also was not happy with being shunted to another individual to complete the "paperwork". This additional encounter was obviously only an opportunity to sell me additional products and services I did not need or want. While I did agree to an extended service agreement, only because of the many computerized components and sealed mechanical components that would be difficult for me to service at home, the final paper contract did not agree with the verbal offer. I did not recognize the change until I was reviewing all of the paperwork after returning home. While a phone call to the dealership corrected that problem, I should not have had to deal with that problem. The 2nd salesman probably identified himself when I first encountered him, but I did not remember his name. He did not give me a business card and his signature on the service contract is totally illegible. I dislike the $150 "Dealer Documentary Service Fee" tacked onto the final purchase price. This would seem to be a cost of their doing business. Imagine the furor that would arise if a physician added a fee to a patient encounter to cover his "cost" of documenting the encounter in the medical record. More

DJ is a true professional and did not pressure us when we wanted time to make our decision. Our last car buying experience was 13 years ago and we put this one off because of not wanting to deal with the pressure. I wish we would have looked to Peninsula Subaru for assistance earlier. They understood that it was going to take a good deal to get me to drive there from South King County and they came through with a really good offer over the phone. Kory Hudson the salesman and Kevin Dunn the finance guy (business manager) got though the sales paperwork and the financing in less than an hour. While they asked if I would be interested in some of the add on items (undercoating and extended warranty) it wasn't a hard sell, just an offer. Since I had to drive out Bremerton by myself, I couldn't drive the new car home. Korey Hudson went the extra mile (or sixty miles) and delivered the car to my house a few days later. More
