Great sales experience! Purchased a CPO 2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited. I worked with Garrett over the course of a couple of days to test drive the rig, talk in detail about Purchased a CPO 2016 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Limited. I worked with Garrett over the course of a couple of days to test drive the rig, talk in detail about Subaru, and negotiate a deal. I never felt pressured by Garrett to make a purchase I wasn't ready for. He was quick to reply to my questions via text and email as I had them. The price was fair--not great--but fair. And that's important. I did receive a discount, which I appreciate, and landed slightly below list price. I definitely felt heard, like my opinion mattered, and that I was a valued customer. We all know there is a profit to be made--it's sales after all--but I did not feel bamboozled. Only critique would be around experience with finance. I'm a local Branch Manager for a national bank, so I'm in the business of sales and understand the sales process. However, the markup for GAP insurance is significant. And, the pressure to purchase an extended warranty beyond the INCREDIBLE 7 YR/100,000mi warranty was annoying. I didn't bite. Even after several questions, which pressed for specific objections. That part of the experience, unfortunately, stands in contrast with the sales team up front. With that said, I'll secure my own financing next time because I will be back again. I will do business with this dealership personally again and I'll be sure to recommend Garrett and sales team. Looking forward to a strong partnership with this Subaru team! More

Soon as we came inn, we took the Forester for a test drive with Amy. And in less than an hour, we were heading home with our BRAND NEW SUBARU FORESTER 2.5i. We've had very bad customer service with buying a vehicle in the past. Waiting waiting and more waiting is the one thing I wanted too avoid. And with Joe helping us with all the paperwork before we headed over, that was avoided. WE LOVE OUR NEW SUBARU and we named her SAMMY. Awesome customer service, and also the FREE OIL CHANGE FOR LIFE :)Thank you Peninsula Subaru!!! More

Why are we just now being told about this, and not at the time we refinanced? Poor, poor service if you ask me. We are buying a house and this info is needed. Now we have to go a different, thanks to the unprofessional help of this finance team. More
Buying made easy My wife and I were looking for a new AWD from the Japanese competition but decided to test drive the Forester at Peninsula Subaru neither of us had ev My wife and I were looking for a new AWD from the Japanese competition but decided to test drive the Forester at Peninsula Subaru neither of us had even considered a Subaru as even beings the running. The salesman explained the features and let us go where we pleased. I was encouraged to try the AWD on leaves, hills, 2 inches of water over the road way. When asked what I thougt about the car I said I liked it but needed he competition. He told me what vehicles were the closest competition and wished us luck, no pressure, no negative comments about the competition. We the drove the two main Japanese competitors (we have family with the American competion and did not like the reliance on a turbo to be able to do more than coast. The competition lacked the great traction and comfort of the Subaru. My wife and I both noticed the Forester had better visibility and I mentioned it to both of th other dealers. As soon as they knew we were considering Subaru the remainder of the test drive was bashing Subaru by the sales guys. What was interesting is all the negatives they mentioned also applied to their vehicles as well but they had no mechanical expierence or education to know it. I tried to negotiate on the price on the competition and they stuck with the MSRP and only a slight discount with Costco etc. My wife looked at me and said why bother the Subaru is nicer car and had better visibility. We went back to Peninsula Subaru again after doing some on line price comparison. The sales staff showed us the numbers instantly offering a great price beating even the Costco price by a few dollars. While they were working on the details with my wife, I was checking on line prices in Puyallup and the North Sound inorder to avoid buyers remorse. I found a better price on line but it was a one day sale, one car etc. etc(probably gone if we went ther etc). I showed the salesman, he showed the manager and came back with all the papers showing the new price. No haggling. Lower sales tax. Free oil changes etc. They installed the accessories and we drove off in the first storm of the season. More

Jason explained and demonstrated most of the features and then sat back and let us drive and experience the vehicle uninterrupted for a really good thorough test drive. Both he and Amir worked with us to get the deal we wanted, and as importantly have been helpful after the sale in answering any questions I've had and in getting some additional options I desired scheduled with the Service department for installation. This is the fourth new vehicle I have purchased from Peninsula Subaru and the second under the Costco auto program from DJ Dougherty. The sale went very smoothly and was handled very professionally. After all the paperwork was completed DJ walked me through the features and operation of my new vehicle in knowledgeable and experienced manner. I have been very pleased with all the vehicles, service and support from Peninsula Subaru and I highly recommend them. More

However, the processing and paperwork after the fact was such a hassle! Repeatedly had issues and had to keep coming back to resign and resend paperwork. I've never had this much of a problem with car paperwork before. Great car but I'd recommend considering other dealerships if you want everything to be properly squared away the first time. More
