We purchased a new Outback and it was the least stressful car buying experience of my life. It was a totally low-key, pressure-free transaction managed by phone calls and emails with only a short period of car buying experience of my life. this is the second subaru legacy that we have purchased through peninsula subaru. all maintenance has been done at the dealership and we've had excellent experiences with the service department. after ra through peninsula subaru. all maintenance has been done at the dealership and we've had excellent experiences with the service department. after racking up over 185,000 miles on the 2011 model, we decided to replace the car and would consider no other dealership than peninsula subaru. Mr. DJ Dougherty worked to get the first car down to a very fair price, and had to do quite a bit of leg work to locate the replacement car as my chosen color wasn't available in the 2021 vehicles. DJ makes you feel like part of the subaru family and you leave feeling he really values you as a customer. there has been no hard sell tactics and DJ stresses that their assistance doesn't stop with purchase of the car. with the new glass console, i had to take some tutorials, which are included and encouraged as DJ said, subaru wants the customers to enjoy the comfort of the car, and not be overwhelmed as we transition into the tech environment. i would encourage anyone considering a new subaru to visit peninsula and ask for DJ. a definite "sell point" is the longevity of some of the employees, including DJ. several of the employees in service recognize us when we used to go in - we had free 3,000 mile services so went in on a regular basis, but with the new car, will only be going in every 6,000 miles. i hope to have this car a long time, but should i need to replace it, i would go back to DJ. Until last week, I had never shopped for, let alone bought, a new car. I started at another Subaru dealership but ended up at Peninsula and am so glad I did. Maddie Shjerven O'Connor got me in there bought, a new car. I started at another Subaru dealership but ended up at Peninsula and am so glad I did. Maddie Shjerven O'Connor got me in there with a low key but persuasive pitch (and she's not even in sales!). Then Andrew was patient and helpful every step of the way from guiding me through the paperwork to showing me how to use all the fun new functions on my beautiful new car. Nick in financing seemed genuinely excited for me on my new purchase and the transaction was seamless. I'm so glad my first new car buying experience was with these great people at Peninsula Subaru! Everyone I encountered to include the salesman, lot attendant, finance specialist and manager, receptionist, and detailer were ALL happy to answer any questions and did so in a positive manner. The purchase of my 2020 Outback XT Onyx Edition was smooth, accommodating, and exciting. Every detail of the purchasing process was explained to me in an honest and forthcoming fashion which made me feel at ease. My sales team worked with my schedule and catered to my busy lifestyle. Every member of my sales team made my experience exciting congratulating me and giving me 100% support and confidence in my purchase. Before I drove my car off the lot: I was given a walk through and explanation on how all of the different features worked. I felt comfortable and confident when I left. I am looking forward to my complimentary follow up appointment to answer any additional questions I might have after driving it awhile by a specialist. Peninsula Subaru is absolutely awesome! DJ quickly found the exact outback I was looking for, had the front windows tinted and delivered 2 hours away to my house!! WOW! Because my car was totaled, I needed to buy a new one very quickly. DJ Dougherty waled me through the steps very easily, and without stepping out of my houses, I was able to buy new vehicle, which was t very quickly. Very dishonest dealership horrible customer service and there service department is horrible nothing but lies I went to discount tire today because I had a flat to have them repair a hole in my years never had an issue what discount tire nor have they ever done me wrong I go there they told me that my tire the whole was in a bad spot where it's not fixable I said okay and then he looks at my tires and noticed the tread on my tires on my side tread of the top was way uneven compared to the back or front I said huh that's weird because every time I went in and got my oil change I asked to have tire rotation and they told me that they do tire rotation after the fact I pick up my car after I got my oil change that they rotated the tires my oil and everything else checked out I said okay awesome so I drove across country went to Virginia got my oil changed on there at Subaru told him I need a tire rotation supposedly they rotated my tires okay so I don't know at this point in time whether if they did or not so as I'm on my way back home from West Virginia to Washington I ended up stopping in Arizona I was gone for a month mind you to get an oil change in Arizona and a tire rotation then again I don't know if they did the tire rotation like they told me they did but anyways I get back you know I get a flat tire but all the other times that I've been to peninsula Subaru to get my oil change they told me that they were doing tire rotation with oil change mind you next time anybody goes in for oil change tire rotation anything from anybody at this dealership weather if it's service or a salesperson I would definitely recommend recording everything they say because they don't go back on what they tell you and try to say something different well anyways get back to the story I'm at discount tire they tell me my tires haven't been rotated what not I understand I got to replace a tire wool it's a Subaru Forester all wheel drive car Les Schwab discount tire most tire places you have to replace all 4 tires so they're even tread and I know this for a fact because I worked at a tire place and I know how this works or as I am at discount tire I get on the phone with Subaru cuz my new this is a 2020 Subaru brand new with warranties still under warranty and I asked to speak to a manager at Subaru in the service department and asked why didn't my tires ever get rotated when I took a man and you guys told me you rotated them and I asked for it when I came there what does it show on our system that we ever did a tire rotation on your car why when you guys give me the piece of paper stating that all we did your oil change and you did your tire rotation not only at this shop but the other shops I've been to which the only other shop I've been to was the Virginia and the Arizona one most of my maintenances through peninsula Subaru so I'm on the phone with Subaru with the manager from service I told him I was at discount tire told him I'm right next to the gentleman that's taking a look at my tires been here for several years I see the guy every time I go in there they know me by name told the gentleman at Subaru the whole situation with my tire that it's not fixable and the tread on my tires have on the sidewall area well above the sidewall you know at the edges of both of the tires not the center but the edge on both sides are off and it look like it's never been rotated mind you I've been going to discount tire for years they've never done me wrong I actually still have tires on my car my truck with great tread on them because I take them in and get them rotated every time they needed to be done never had an issue they're in great shape still under warranty and I've had them longer than they expected me to have them they were surprised because I take care of my tires and I take care of my vehicles when I get maintenance done and serviced so the guy on the phone from Subaru talk to the guy Jessie at discount tire I believe the gentleman manager at Subaru was Rick or Richard are rich we're talking to each other Jessie told Richard from Subaru everything that was going on and that my tires haven't been rotated and that might read is off so the guy at Subaru this is not to take your business but him being a customer of buying a Subaru from us has a warranty that should cover it the tire and told me oh go ahead just have the discount tire put your donut on bring the car in will get you a rental and will take care of you will make sure everything's taken care of and I will give you a call when the car is ready or let you know what's going on I said okay sounds good so I come in gave him my license my insurance got the rental car I get a call later today say no it's going to cost you $120 to replace your tire I'm in a all wheel drive how can you replace one tire always shave the tire down to match your tire so you're going to tell me you're going to charge me $120 to shave down a brand new tire to put on my car More
