DJ explained the difference, advantages and disadvantages of various models, making the choice easy. When it came to color, my wife was able to get her choice through DJ's search of surrounding dealers. We had our new car delivered to our home within a couple of days. I was very fortunate to meet Bret Johnson on my first visit when I started my search. Bret was very helpful but not pushy at all. Very atypical for most car salesman in my experience. When I got serious, he took me on an extended test drive to acquaint me with the Ascent. He made several suggestions regarding test driving competing vehicles. It was his help and the performance of the Ascent that sealed the decision for me. Bret made the purchase process efficient and trouble free. I have had my Ascent (Touring model) for just a few days but continue to be very impressed. I expect a long and happy relationship with Peninsula. And if you are interested in a Subaru be certain to ask for Bret. You will be pleased with the experience. More

After some negotiation we were able to make a good deal with him for the very professional, answering all of our questions completely and honestly. My wife and I are really glad, also, that we are associated with Peninsula Subaru for this car, our 8th Subaru. this is the second subaru legacy that we have purchased through peninsula subaru. all maintenance has been done at the dealership and we've had excellent experiences with the service department. after ra through peninsula subaru. all maintenance has been done at the dealership and we've had excellent experiences with the service department. after racking up over 185,000 miles on the 2011 model, we decided to replace the car and would consider no other dealership than peninsula subaru. Mr. DJ Dougherty worked to get the first car down to a very fair price, and had to do quite a bit of leg work to locate the replacement car as my chosen color wasn't available in the 2021 vehicles. DJ makes you feel like part of the subaru family and you leave feeling he really values you as a customer. there has been no hard sell tactics and DJ stresses that their assistance doesn't stop with purchase of the car. with the new glass console, i had to take some tutorials, which are included and encouraged as DJ said, subaru wants the customers to enjoy the comfort of the car, and not be overwhelmed as we transition into the tech environment. i would encourage anyone considering a new subaru to visit peninsula and ask for DJ. a definite "sell point" is the longevity of some of the employees, including DJ. several of the employees in service recognize us when we used to go in - we had free 3,000 mile services so went in on a regular basis, but with the new car, will only be going in every 6,000 miles. i hope to have this car a long time, but should i need to replace it, i would go back to DJ. Then Andrew was patient and helpful every step of the way from guiding me through the paperwork to showing me how to use all the fun new functions on my beautiful new car. Nick in financing seemed genuinely excited for me on my new purchase and the transaction was seamless. I'm so glad my first new car buying experience was with these great people at Peninsula Subaru!
