My husband bought his Subaru Outback from Peninsula Subaru and didn't seem to have any complaints with the company so I decided to special order a 2021 Subaru Ascent from them. Big Mistake! Huge! We go Subaru and didn't seem to have any complaints with the company so I decided to special order a 2021 Subaru Ascent from them. Big Mistake! Huge! We got the call that the car arrived and went into the dealership. Several hours later we go into finance. By this time we just want to take this gorgeous thing home and enjoy every moment of it, because this is my first brand new car. We sit down with finance and come to find out they added all of these warranties that made the vehicle $54k. The contract was already written with all the warranties added without even being asked. We put $10k down and still the amount of the car was around $54k. MSRP from the window sticker was $48k. So they really took us for our money. Then come to find out they did the same thing to my husband when he bought his Outback. Anyways back to the story! My husband and I were both tired of sitting and waiting and just took delivery of the vehicle. We purchased a 3m clear bra, and a ceramic coating to help protect the paint. Weeks later the front bra is bubbling so I took it in to the dealership. They ended up cutting the bubble out and sent me home. This will be the forth time now taking it in because they say that they have fixed it but the cut out is still there. I have left a message with the Service Department and still haven't gotten a call back. I have sent an email to the Service Manager and still haven't gotten a response. I have also left messages with the parts department to order parts for my husbands outback and still have not received a call back. I am very disappointed with this dealership and am extremely mad at myself for purchasing with them. By far the worst experience I have encountered. Please use my experience as an example not to purchase or frequent their Service Department. More

Built a custom order today, talked to Garret on the phone who said it would be $500 deposit and would take 8-12 weeks. Came in to dealership to order and was told by a sales person named Jay I would have who said it would be $500 deposit and would take 8-12 weeks. Came in to dealership to order and was told by a sales person named Jay I would have to pay 3K over full MSRP "because all Subaru dealers were charging a Northwest Market Adjustemt" or there was no deal. I asked if that was truly non-negotiable as there were other dealers farther away that were offering no mark-up. He said it wasn't negotiable, wished me luck and I left. Total rip-off, lost a longtime future customer and cash sale over this one. Wanted to keep my business money local to support the community but I will shop elsewhere from here on out. It baffles me that a business who pitches the importance of family values and community would stoop this low and lose a sale. I sat in his parking lot and called Mitch @ Bud Clary Subaru in Longview. Worked my deal for MSRP over the phone and had my deposit in the mail within an hour. I understand asking a premium for a vehicle on the lot that may be in high demand, but when waiting 3 months for a car asking someone to pay 3K over retail is unethical. It amounts to telling me I have to pay more for the pleasure of doing business with them, which is completely backwards. Bottom line is this, there are Suabru dealers out there who are honest and want your business and offer better pricing, just pick-up the phone and call around More
Don't buy a new car from this dealership. Last month they refused to negotiate with me at all, insisting on the "recommended" price or no sale. Total stonewall. If you do decide to go there, absolutely do refused to negotiate with me at all, insisting on the "recommended" price or no sale. Total stonewall. If you do decide to go there, absolutely don't trade in your old car. Seven years ago they offered me only $1,700 for my older car, then a week later they had it listed to sell for $10,000. I blame myself for that; I had trusted them and hadn't done any research. So last month before I bought from them again, I did research from Kelley Blue Book and NADA on what my trade-in was worth (roughly $15,000), plus checked to see what other Subaru dealerships in the region were asking when they had the same year, model, and approximate mileage of my trade-in for sale ($18,000-$20,000). Silly me, I still trusted that Peninsula Subaru would treat me fairly given the facts. They offered me $9,000. Considering they were already overcharging me for the market value of the car they were selling me, that's an insult. After an hour or so, they grudgingly allowed $10,000. Tired of banging my head against a brick wall, and being assured by them that they wouldn't be able to sell it for more than $17,000, I caved. Silly me. Two days later I looked online out of curiosity, and inquired the price they were asking for the car I had just traded in. The email I received back from their internet manager said they were listing it at $22,000! I still basically would trust their service department, as I've had no problems with them over the last 25 years. But sales? Don't trust them. Go somewhere else. Probably anywhere else. More
