I went to Pedersen b/c I was looking for a hybrid to replace my dying Mazda, and I couldn't get any answers on why the Ford hybrids were facing class-action lawsuits and recalls. As soon as I walked in, I met Bryan and he was fantastic! He took the time to listen to me, asked about my concerns and was knowledgeable about all Toyota products, not just the hybrids. Bryan was very helpful through the test drive process, careful to point out the various features and explaining the differences between products, not just Toyota's but also other hybrids on the market as well. Thanks to Bryan, I'm a happy owner of a new Toyota Prius that rides like a cloud. And with (at least) one reading of 68.3 mpg, I have no regrets. The dealership was outstanding from initial contact throughout the entire process. I initially contacted Todd Jones, one of the Sales Managers and worked with Tanner Highfill in Sales. Both were courteous, knowledgeble, honest and we quickly agreed to a fair price for both my purchased vehicle and trade in. We love our new 4runner! I would strongly recommend Pedersen to anyone looking to purchase a new or used vehicle! More
We visited Pedersen twice, the first time was to test drive a new Toyotal Sienna Limited. After our test drive they offered to tell us what they would give us on the trade in of our van, which we accept drive a new Toyotal Sienna Limited. After our test drive they offered to tell us what they would give us on the trade in of our van, which we accepted given we were shopping around at that point. They wrote up a sheet (with no negotiating) of their sticker price for the Sienna and the trade in offer amount. We liked the van but we were also considering a few other vehicles before making any final decision. After driving a few other vehicles we were tied between the Odyssey and the Sienna. Since we were happy with the trade in amount offered to us at Pedersen we thought that we would go back (rather than mess around at another dealership). I did extensive research in the area (N. CO and Denver area) on comparable pricing for the model we were interested in purchasing. We came up with our price we were willing to pay, which was $4000 under sticker price, very reasonable given the pricing at other Toyota dealerships. We called Pedersen and spoke with a salesman who said they did not currently have the model we wanted (xle with rear entertainment) on the lot, but if we wanted to buy the van and the the negotiations worked out they would get us one from another dealership. So we came in that afternoon, preapproved financing in place ready to buy a vehicle. When we arrived they put together another numbers sheet, only to offer us $1000 less on our trade than they had a week before! They stated that was because they were "trying to help us out" since that was on the limited version. They also argued the price their own salesman had mentioned to us on the phone when we called that morning, saying that must be invoice. They played the song and dance going back and forth with the "manager" a few times, even though we were up front with them on the amount we were willing. He came back the first time, $500 more toward our trade. Not good enough, left and came back 15 min. later, we can give you $100 more but that's it. Really, wow $100. Forget it, waste of our time. Then he had the nerve to tell us we were trying to buy more van than we wanted to pay for, and we should buy a van of a lesser model. So I can pay your sticker price? I don't think so. So we said thanks, but not thanks. At that time a manager came over and tried to get us to buy for the $4000 extra, when we said no he wanted to know our plan after that. I said we will shop around and get the vehicle/features we want and stay at our budget. He said he would beat any other deal we got, yeah right. As we were leaving my husband heard them say "they are just cheap." Save yourself the time and hassle and go to another dealership that treats people with respect, instead of a condescending attitude because I won't pay your MSRP. A week later we went to an awesome Honda dealership in Littleton, purchased a brand new 2013 Honda Odyssey with the same features we wanted in the Sienna, traded in our vehicle and came out the door $875 under our budget.
