Dealers phone system is about useless. Way too many “ enter xx” for the xx department, and if the party you are calling does not answer after a ring or two, the system says “name is not a Way too many “ enter xx” for the xx department, and if the party you are calling does not answer after a ring or two, the system says “name is not available” and just stops with silence. Other issues here are related to the service department only. My 2014 diesel Cherokee Car with 52,100 miles had a recall for the high pressure fuel pump but had no parts to correct it. Then after 3 weeks+, they did replace the pump, but announced that some other part needed attention as well but they didn’t have that either. Now I get to drive around with TWO dashboard warning mesages displayed constantly. During the service, the oil was changed but that is one of the new service messages. I had asked to have a wood screw removed from the left rear tire & the tire checked for leaks. It doesn’t leak that I can tell, but the screw is still there. Service record states the issue was addressed. My only other issue is with a 2019 Cherokee purchased new in mid-2020. Car had no spare tire but the sales guy put one in the well. Of course dealership has been sold to Pedder Auto Group since then, and when I had need of the spare a few weeks ago, I discovered the wheel did not fit the car - slightly wrong bolt pattern & tire interference. It is a 17” tire rather than an 18” tire which the other 4 wheels use. Pedder service manager was not interested - said I could buy a new spare. So, I have a fine brand new tire that has not touched the ground in 2-1/2 years mounted on a wrong size aluminum Jeep wheel of a different design. Service “quality” seems OK at this point - at least it runs. It is what was requested and NOT done or complete yet that is at issue. More

I had to repeat my questions numerous times and sometimes still hung up not knowing if I got it or not. The sales team did cover the costs of labor for the issue we had, but we still had to pay some money for replacing something that I feel should have been covered by the dealer based on our agreement when we got the Jeep. Of course this was verbal with sales, so I guess we are just lucky they covered what they did. At this point we don't know if we will take our Jeep back for service even though we pre-paid for 3 years of maintenance. Wish we could just get our money back and take it somewhere else. More

My 1500 Ram Laramie was a mess - check engine light came on half way thru a 3,500 mile road trip to Colorado. On return to Poway the truck spent most of the rest of summer at the dealer service waiting for parts. The truck was towed to Pedder after it would not start. It remained there while a Lemon Law buyback was initiated. A "turn in date was set - met with the agent to sign release papers and receive a settlement check from Chrysler. The check for over $18,000 had previously been delivered to Pedder by FedEx. The check could not be found anywhere at the dealership and no one there would acknowledge ever seeing the check or any related papers. Chrysler representative required the massing check to be cancelled and ordered a replacement - with a "two to four week delay before delivery" to me. the financial damage to me has been considerable, as, I had negotiated a vehicle purchase to replace the 1500 ram. Incompetence and total lack of concern for the customer is evident at this dealership. It is as if there is none actually in charge. More
