Mel knows the products inside and out and was more than willing to take the time to test drive multiple cars and go through the details and compare the differences. The sales process was straightforward and easy, and they gave me more for my trade than CarMax offered. I would send anyone in the market for a new car to this dealership. More
Easy, friendly, fun car buying experience. Mel did a great job of selling us on Mazda, answering questions about the vehicle, pointing out features and taking us on a super fun test drive. Everything goes well until we paid for it 4/27, showroom visit, test drove the car, happy with everything, paper signed, promised to clean the car and pick up at 5/1 5/1, told by front desk 4/27, showroom visit, test drove the car, happy with everything, paper signed, promised to clean the car and pick up at 5/1 5/1, told by front desk the car can't be ready and had to be the next day; called the sales, he was sick and didn't send the car to clean 5/2, the sales first notified that the car is ready to pick up anytime, but we changed the pick up date to 5/4, requested to have a full examine 5/3 the sales emailed me about bluetooth isn't working properly, needed to be fixed 5/4, we needed the car so we picked up the car anyways because they can't get us a loaner more than 2 days, being told that they will call me back for getting the bluetooth fix after getting the appointment with Honda 5/8, service department called about the appointment. Dropped the car off and got the loaner. The sales told me that the car would be ready the next day. They would drive the car to the Honda dealership and get it fix. 5/9, the sales texted, the car isn't ready 5/10, the sales texted, the part is backordered for 2 weeks. But the car would be ready to pick up after 3:30 pm. We showed up at around 6. The sales wasn't back in with the car. Front desk receptionist asked to wait for half hour. Half hour later, the sales still didn't come get back with the car and asked to wait for another half hour. Left at around 6:40 because they couldn't guarantee if the sales would be back with the car after half hour. No words from the sales at all. 5/11, the sales not in. Still no word from the sales. Went in the showroom. They couldn't get in contact with the sales either. Excuse for the delay on 5/10 was that he got stuck in the traffic. There's no way getting stuck in the traffic over 3+ hours from Midlothian to West End. Other sales and manager had to jump in. They promised that once the parts get in, they would contact me and get everything taken care with. So we picked up the car. 5/28, no words from the dealership, emailed the manager for updates. No reply on the email. 5/30, texted the manager asking for update, came back and talked about how it's still delayed 6/7, texted again, asked for the update and eta; notified that the part had the eta with 6/13 6/13 12:18 pm, I texted for update. Manager called back that he would continue follow up with Pearson Honda and said that the sales we dealt with failed passing this case to the service department. I asked for when would I get the response. He said either the afternoon or tomorrow after 1:00 pm. 6/14 3:01 pm, I texted. He seemed to be upset that I was really frustrated and texted too soon. It's hard for me not get frustrated after weeks of delay and chasing for updates. Later he informed me that he had to call in on Monday to schedule the appointment and let me know. 6/17 6:08 pm, no words from the manager, I emailed the general manager seeking help, not much help. 6/18 1:41 pm, I texted for update. Manager came back that the service department would make the appointment and update me in the later afternoon. 6:12 pm, texted him about when would the service department get back to me. Replied that he would get in touch next day morning 6/19 up until now, the time this review posted, no words from the dealership Our sales left the facility at 5/18. Before he left, he didn't send us ANY updates, followup, a note of leaving or what we expect next. He got his commission and left with a upset customer struggling to get the part fix. I have to chase after the manager for ANY updates. Poor communication. More

My sales rep was Mel I was so pleased with the whole process of buying a Pearson car, from beginning to end. Pearson made the experience painless. My sales rep was Mel Helm. Mel was very professional and knowledgeable and we clicked from the beginning. No high-powered sales pitch here. As Mel said, “She was working for me”. and I really felt she was. If you are in the market for a new or pre-owned car, visit Pearson. Ask for Mel; she’ll treat you right! More
Excellent experience After finding out the 2014 Nissan Versa that I had bought from a rental company a few years back had a faulty transmission and was starting to fail, I After finding out the 2014 Nissan Versa that I had bought from a rental company a few years back had a faulty transmission and was starting to fail, I took it to a nearby Nissan dealership to see what my options were. Upon telling them my issue I was met with a response of “oh yeah, some of the 2014 and 2015 models have that problem” I questioned whether or not there was a recall or an extended warranty given that they were aware of the issue and was told there was nothing they could do about it. They then proceeded to tell me there was no trade-in value for my Nissan and aggressively tried to sell me another vehicle with a monthly payment of almost $200 more than the one I was already making. Needless to say I left. I got a phone call two days later from the salesman who continued to harass me over the phone until I hung up. Right after that phone call I decided to go to Pearson Mazda where I was met by Mel. I explained my situation, gave her my financial range and my preferences. She pulled up multiple different vehicles and talked with me about each one. We narrowed it down to two cars they had on the lot and took the 2015 Mazda 3 for a test drive. After the test drive she explained to me the different amenities, showed me multiple reports, including any recalls there had been and that all of them had been taken care of. She was very thorough, patient and friendly. I never felt pressured into anything unreasonable. Not only that, but they actually let me trade in my vehicle that I was originally told by Nissan nobody would take. The whole experience was swift and painless and I ended feeling confident with the purchase of a 2015 Mazda 3! More
