Shannon and Michelle were both great. My credit, like so many people right now, is not good. However they were able to quickly get me into another vehicle when my car engine failed. They are a very curtious and friendly group of people it's not all business they talk personnel information and kept a very upbeat meeting going. Nick answered all my question's that I had and was able to answer without having to go find someone for the answer's a very professional person hats off to you Nick. The one thing I like the most is when I pulled onto the lot and got out of my car I did not have 10 people approaching me to make a sale they let me look around and then I asked the receptionist for Nick as I had already talked to him on the phone. First, I had already heard so many positive things about Peak Kia, particularly Peak Kia South, that, after all my research, I felt that it was probably going to be Peak Kia South where I bought my first car. I was made aware the the dealership had undergone renovations and a recent move to another building. It was a clean showroom and organized sales lot, with easy access to convenient customer parking. Every employee that I passed by and made eye contact with smiled and said "hi" or "good morning". I know mornings can be rough for some, but I did not feel like anyone was taking an attitude of "why can't I just be in bed right now?". They showed that they meant to be there. A few I heard were laughing and joking, which shows that they are going to make any moment as fun as they can, especially at work. This immediately set the right tone for me and showed me a lot about the work environment for Peak Kia South. Let me share my experience with the four people whom I had more than just a brief moment with. 1. Andy Carney (My Sales Consultant): From the moment I set the appointment a few days prior, I could tell that Andy was a genuine and friendly man who was going to treat my time with respect and appreciation. It made me look forward to being more open and trusting with him during the test driving and sales process. We talked about life, places we've lived, golf, fishing, sports, restaurants, life as transplants in Colorado, and more. It wasn't just dry talk about the specs of the vehicles that I was test driving, and there was absolutely no rush to discuss money in the beginning. I didn't the "dollar signs" in his eyes. Andy was just being Andy, there to listen, share, and help me out. I told him that it was my first car purchase, and he took that seriously, treating me with respect and sharing my enthusiasm for the experience. Andy definitely showed me that he, for the years he has been in sales, particularly with Peak Kia, enjoys what he is doing and is committed to the work. When the time came to discuss various financing scenarios for a few vehicles and make the formal application, Andy and I were seeing eye to eye. When I would review what finance offered and had detailed questions about the numbers, Andy in no way showed stubbornness or inability to listen and help. It wasn't a "hard negotiation", but instead was a smooth, relaxed, mature, and organic process of both meeting my needs and meeting the needs of himself and the dealership. It was a perfect balance. I'm of the old school, where gentleman make agreements with integrity and respect. This was the case. Andy shook hands with me at the beginning and end, and I felt that this was right, without any doubt in my mind. 2. Stephanie (Finance): I could tell immediately from meeting Stephanie that she was both a genuine, direct, and engaging person. She had a great sense of humor and showed care for each detail of the financing. She gave her honest opinion and experience with the excellent supplemental options offered through Security Services. She was not trying to just "get me to sign". She, in one aspect of the discussion, the importance of not being "penny-wise and pound-foolish". This was something I completely agreed with. Shortsightedness in making contracts is incredibly detrimental. She painted the long term picture and sought to dispel any myths commonly associated with purchasing automobiles and financing them. This is what I was looking for. Furthermore, she did it with a smile. A real smile. Nothing false about her. When I was about to make a major life and financial commitment, Stephanie treated the moment as such. She also shared my enthusiasm for the moment and for her own job. There was a moment where Stephanie noticed how I printed my name, which was in clean, capital letters. She shared her knowledge of a study of what people like me-and her-are like who write their names as such. It was very accurate for me, and I saw how much Stephanie was in the moment, responding to and observing me. She showed that she was not there just for her own agenda and the dealership's agenda. Stephanie also showed through the conversation that she and Corey Nelson, Finance Director, had a good working dynamic between them. That was good to know. 3. Paul (Sales): This was a great experience, too. I was examining a few more aspects of the Kia Soul's interior in my garage at home. I failed to check at the dealership to see if the vehicle was equipped with a tire jack and spare wheel/tire. I found out that there was none, but instead a tire repair kit. I immediately returned to the dealership, seeking assistance and clarification. Andy Carney was currently with another customer at the moment, but the very kind receptionist, who remembered me from earlier, immediately reached out to Paul in Sales. Paul did not hesitate to listen to me questions and concerns. He then followed me out to the parking lot, where I showed him the spare wheel well. He agreed that it was a good question. In just a few moments time, he confirmed to me that my particular model was only equipped with the tire repair kit, and that roadside assistance could help me replace the wheel, if a blowout ever happened to occur. He was also patient, attentive, and friendly. 4. Front Desk Receptionist (I cannot remember her name, unfortunately): Between the processing of my down payment and directing me to Paul when I returned with the questions about the spare wheel, she was friendly, positive, and attentive. In conclusion, this experience with Peak Kia South was simply incredible and showed how it SHOULD be. Not every dealership or experience may be quite as excellent, but it should be close to it. I felt, personally, that I had achieved my objectives, but even more so, was exceedingly pleased with having such amazing success over and above my original goals, thanks to the amazing staff at Peak Kia South, who represent everything and then some the company of Kia Motors. When I shared my outstanding experience with my friends and showed them my new Kia Soul, they were absolutely thrilled and agreed that I may a great purchase and that the Soul was "me".
