My wife and I purchased a new car from Peak Kia on 07-15-2023, and our experience was genuinely terrible. My entire review would not fit, so I chose the part that was most dissatisfying. During the purchase process we had to evade deceptive information in every step. We got a call on Thursday July 20, 2023 from Nick. He informed us we got money back on our car so we had to come back and resign the contracts, and we could leave our car there and get hail damage fixed. The dealership would give us loaner car and take care of it. I told him we would be there early on Saturday morning. Saturday, July, 22nd we got there around 9 am. Nick was not there, so we explained we needed to sign some papers for the new amount of financing for the vehicle. The second time we went to Peak was worse than the first one. • Grant introduced himself as one of the financial directors for Peak Kia and helped us sign the new contract with the discount. I asked since the contract was redone for one week later could this delay our 1st payment by one week, so he called someone but they couldn’t do it. • While he was gone, I saw a document (I have an attachment of the document that I cannot display here) showing that my approval rate for financing was a whole 1% point lower than what Rocco had originally quoted me. • I asked Grant if I could get that rate. His answer no. It is a sub-vented rate set by the manufacturer. Typically, these cannot be up charged by the dealership, so why was I being up charged?? • Conveniently Grant slid the rate approval sheet back into my file as if I wasn’t supposed to see it and proceeded to tell me that the dealership gets a flat fee for brokering the deal and the 1% goes to the dealership. It did not make sense to me, and I felt like I was being lied too. • I asked Grant again for this lower rate because I had seen it with my own eyes and it did not seem fair. Again, he gave me a roundabout answer referencing the flat fee and told me no he could not adjust it. I was irate. • Meanwhile, Matthew another associate was on the phone with Nick, who had no recollection of our conversation on Thursday or telling us we could have a loaner car. • Finally, it got sorted out, and we got our loaner. I am writing this on 7-29-2023, and we still don’t have our car back from the hail damage repairs. Overall, a lack of communication and incompetence pervades through the Peak Kia dealership. This whole experience is unacceptable. I would not classify this place of business as professional, but instead a lobby full of swindlers waiting to extract every dollar they can from you. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. More
Great experience; friendly salesperson who worked with my crazy work schedule. Was not pushy and calm which I appreciated- if a salesperson is pushy and tries to sell me xx I leave immediately, not so at thi crazy work schedule. Used peak for oil change tire rotation. Got charged for oil change & rotation. Realized later they never rotated the tires. I have to assume they don’t care and that this might be standard practice. I’d save my money and go to a quick oil change place. Likely you’ll get better service at half the cost. So disappointed in Peak service. More
I have never been in such a rude dealership. I was shopping for a new vehicle in early 2023. I visited many dealerships and this one was terrible. I walked in and no one greeted me. I went to the information desk where there was a person there facing in my direction (i.e., their back was not to me) and they would not acknowledge me. I stood there for several minutes and finally had to say "excuse me, can I get some help?" The person then said they couldn't help me and had to call someone else over. That took a few seconds and then the person said they didn't have any vehicles in stock (I wanted to look at a Kia Sportage Hybrid). Other dealers that I visited who didn't have the vehicle in stock that I wanted at least offered to show me a non-hybrid version of the same car (to sit inside it), gave me information on when they might have my desired vehicle in stock, or did other things to try to address my car shopping needs. This dealer and the sales person did nothing. Just said they didn't have it and that was all. Oh, they also didn't introduce themselves. I have never received such poor customer service!!! I certainly do not recommend this dealer!! More
